Does anyone here use a power ball, or some of the grippers to work out their grip strength?
If you have, how much would you say they helped you?
I'm kinda interested in getting some, but holy hell they're expensive. 20 for 1...its a decent investment in my opinion if they work. I'm sure they'll last a few years.

Get yourself 2 of pinkish/reddish balls that they sell in the toy section of any dollar store, big lots, walmart, etc.. It should be able to fit in the palm of your hand. If your hand is not big enough you can buy just 1 and chop it in half. Take the balls with you wherever you go and just squeeze them constantly.

It depends on what you mean by "help" you. If you truly want a good grip. The red balls you buy at a toy store aren't going to do anything if you're looking to build a good grip. Ironmind grippers last forever. Heavy grippers are a bit cheaper, but arent as consistant. For example, one hg200 can be significantly harder than another hg200. Where as all of the IM grippers are very consistant. I'm a big fan of grip. Too many people rely on straps and as everyone knows, in the real world you cant use them.

Ivanko makes a gripper called the "Super Gripper". You can adjust the tension by moving the springs around and adding more springs. Costs about $40. Ironmind makes a thing called the "Healthy Hands Kit" for about $40 that works the extensors. If you have carpal tunnel or tennis elbow problems this is a great tool to use. Also, when you do back work avoid using straps until you can't hang on to the bar without them.

I use ironmind's products. Kinda pricey, but quality nonetheless.

The Rolling Thunder (1 armed revolving deadlift handle) and the grippers are probably all you would need.

the super gripper and captains of crush and the forpower from lifeline usa are some of the best grip , forarm training devices out there. the formulator is great too but they went out of business, lucky i have one lol

Always wondered this as I have been very interested in the cap of crush series! I will have to pick some up and get started...

i have a heavy grippers 300lb. it took me months to be able to close it. now i close it and hold it for sets of 30 seconds and do repetitions for my workout.

problem is, it seems that all grippers are right-handed.. anybody realize this? it doesn't seem to fit right in my left hand even if i flip it. and my strength is almost half my right hand. still trying to figure out a solution. i figure that if i train both as hard as i can it will even out eventually. who knows.

i have noticed this with my captains of crush grippers. feels different in the left hand. maybe they will come out with some left handed versions.

Grip Strength Equipment

I order from Elite Fitness. They carry a great selection of grip equipment. And other stuff. And no I don't work for them. They should actually send me money for all the cash I spent with them.

ironmind's grippers arent designed for either right hands or left hands. they are designed for both. im 100% sure of this.
