The only thing he has received a bad rap about is the steroid issue. Bonds is not a good person...never was. He is an angry person, not the best teammate and is horrible to the media. Am I glad he will break the HR record--yes, but that doesn't excuse the fact that he is still not a good person.

the sad thing that bonds now we know is not geared up.. they are watching him like a hawk.. he is still crankin' them out of the park.. yet gets no credit.. everything is different in the sport.. it never was a level playing field.. the infields are different as are the balls and bats.. so how was it ever gonna be fair..? so the "purists" need to stop the bitchin' and embrace what is about to happen.. the equipment is different from ruth to aaron.. no one bitched then.. until he pisses in a cup and turns up postive he should be given credit.. personality aside..

Good person or not, Bonds is one of the all-time greats. Even before all the allegations started and Bonds was just a skinny player in Pittsburgh, his numbers were good enough to get him into the Hall of Fame. The last 7-8 years have just confirmed his greatness.

Bonds puts up with a lot of shit, some of it justified most of it not.
