I have been training for over 15 years now and just recently I started using a more intuitive approach with diet, supplements and cycles. Right now I am the biggest, strongest, most muscular, and healthiest I have ever been. I feel great all day, sleep perfect at night, and I can finaly do every day things again without feeling weighed down and lethargic. So, I want to take some time to share with you guys what I have changed, and what I am doing right now that brought about these positive changes in my body and life. I also would appreciate if other bros chimed in and shared their similiar experiences they have had with experimention and health while cycling. Here is my current diet, routine, and supplements.
I eat five solid meals a day with 20-30g whey isolate. 60grams Whey Isolate and oatmeal upon wakening, 60g whey Isolate and honey post workout and 40g isolate+40g casein before bed. I use to eat the same thing at the same time every day but I found my body responds better if I give it a variety of lean protein sources. Plus the variety makes it easier to stick to the diet. Each meal of either lean beef, chicken or fish contains 50-60g of protein. For carb meals I eat brown rice or white rice if it is within an hour post workout. I eat broccoli or green beans with some of the meals and I eat honey and peanut butter on net4 bread and a banana 1.5 hour pre workout.
I workout 4 days a week. Mon chest/tris/calves; Wed back/delts; Fri bis/calves; Sat quads/hams. Tues, Thurs, and Sun I do 45 minutes of light cardio. I use high intensity and moderate volume workouts. Mostly free weights. This is my on and off season routine. I only add a little more cardio and slightly reduce carbs while dieting. I sometimes use carb cycling to break through plateaus.
Now for supplements, I never use any protein but ion exchange whey isolate. Except before bed, I add casein. I have used every kind of protein out there. When I switched to whey isolate and started adding it to my meals my muscles got fuller and my skin looks thinner. Every day I take 12g of fish oil, a multi vitamin, potassium, taurine, aspirin, liv 52, and 3g vit-c pre and post workout. I have used every name brand, b*s* marketed supplement out there and these are the only ones that actually works for me. Creatine sucks ass and never did a damn thing for me. I used it for years and almost every brand out there. I found that when I changed my supplements up it also reduced the sides I got from aas. Almost every supplement out there puts some type of stress on your body, specificaly your liver. My doc gave me a clean bill of health while using dbol without bs supplements, but said my liver values were effed up when I was on hydroxycut alone, and another time on lipo 6.
I feel and look the best I ever have and I don't believe it has anything to do with how I cycle. I think it all comes down to my diet being consistent, my supplement regimen being simple, safe, and directly assisting and supporting my cycle, sleeping at least 9 hours every night, and never over training.
Once again if anybody has had similiar experiences please share
