Hello everyone! Terumo or BD ???

Hey everybody. Glad to see BigA is back from (board limbo?) lol, j/k. A vet who is actually a veteran what a surprise now days!

I've been using BD syringes since Reagan was president US., never really had too many bad ones but I've heard that Terumos are sharper and more um, professional gear.

Any thoughts? who uses Terumos and why, how do they differ from the old fashioned BDs?

Ive heard it said Teurmo is sharper, but I cant tell a difference.

Used both...

and definitely prefer the Terumo which is why that is all I buy now for injection. For drawing needles I go with whatever is cheapest, but for shooting I use Terumo so as to minimize tissue damage and scar tissue formation over time.

actually i would say terumo is better having used both before as well.

for what it is worth i only use terumo for injections now.

I had a bad episode with Terumo 22g a few years ago and swithed to BD of that same gauge. I stuck with BD from then on no matter what gauge I used.
I was using BD 23g some time ago and was discovering that I may have been doing more damage than necessary. I wanted to go back to a 25, but didn't know if I wanted a whole box.
I was able to secure a few Terumo 25's to give them a try and was really happy with them.
This may be picky, but I like the Terumo needle and the BD barrel. The BD barrel/body has wider "wings" or grips at the top making it easier to push. (??)

i used both. i only used bd once tho. i prefer etrumo hands down. the packaging looks more sterile also

They are pretty much the same to me. I use whatever I can get at the time.
