Hey guys- I am as healed as I am going to be from my wrist surgery and I have stepped up my training over the last few weeks. I am happy with my workout and have started to see improvements. My diet is where I feel I'm lacking and think that it's hold me back from what I want to achieve. Can anyone suggest a diet for a beginner? My goal is to add about 10 lbs of lean muscle. Being so little for so long- it is hard getting over the mindset that gaining weight is "bad". I am not aiming to compete- this is just for me. Here are my stats again...
age: 31, 109 lbs (and finally starting to gain), 5'4, high metabolism
Currently, I work out 4-5x a week. Eat 3 meals and 2-3 "snacks" throughout the day. I sometimes have to force the snacks down. I drink 2 protein shakes a day- don't care for the meal replacements but will do what I need to do to get the calories. I eat fairly healthy: a lot of chicken, tuna, and veggies- not a big on junk food. My weakness is pasta. Am I eating too much, too often, not enough, what is good to eat to gain without getting fat etc... any help is appreciated.
