HELP with diet!!!!!!!

I'm no beginner to weightlifting but it's the dieting part that fucks me. I've tried several times, several different ways. To start with I'm 5' 10" and 183 lbs. I cut my calories and exercised over the summer and got down to 165 but I still looked like a pile of shit...I lost so much weight and got discouraged because I didn't look cut or even close to it, I don't understand. I started recently back on deting, eating 6-7 small meals a day, drinking water, protein, green tea, oatmeal...

All I need is a little guidance and specific details. I wanna maintain the muscle that I've built and continue building but burn more fat...I appreciate the help.

First mistake was wanting to cut. What do your meals looks like now?
 
my meals

For beakfast i wake up eat, take two 500 mg cinnamon caps, eat a bowl of oatmeal, sometimes with eggs and milk, then drink green tea...after about an 2 - 3 hours i eat a ricecake and have water, then green tea...then for lunch i get a grilled chicken salad, or a wheat sub w/ roast beef...eat another rice cake...then dinner

Your diet is not sufficient for building muscle. You have two options here and most will agree, because it has been said a thousand times.
1: Hire a pro Alex Azarian, Shelby, Mainevent or Phil Hernon. Most people respond to this saying "I can't afford to hire someone". Well, If I told you I had a supplement that will give you the results you want in 6 months for 300-800 dollars would you buy it? If yes, than that supplement is hiring a pro. It is so worth every cent.
2: Read up, use the search on this site and try a ton of diffent diets that guys have posted that has worked for them. Just remember everyone is different and to get results may take years.
 
The point isn't trying to be a massive bodybuilder, i'm as big as i want to be, i want to cut down...my metabolism is slow. Building muscle is not my problem, the problem is I'm endomorphic and build fat fast, i want to cut down
