***I hope someone on this board can direct me to some good unbiased information. I will return the favor or make a donation or something as I appreciate anyones time here as I know we are all very busy.***
I am interested in finding the TRUTH about long term responsible use of testosterone and HGH for anti-aging purposes (or what others now call "age management medicine).
I am having a very difficult time finding the truth.
I am now 37 and while not a bodybuilder I am very active. Currently 6'4" 230lbs at around 15% bodyfat. I lift weights 3 days a week but really don't want to get bigger or heavier as my main form of recreation and cardio is riding dirt bikes on 8 to 12 mile courses through the woods for 3 hours non-stop at heart rates from 160 to 190bpm depending on the day and pace I am going.
I am mainly concerned with health and longevity.
2 years ago I started HGH therapy under a physicians supervision at 2iu's a day. I was so paranoid about becoming diabetic I checked my blood sugar almost daily and almost eliminated all simple carbs (ie pasta/bread) from my diet. 2 years later and it's never changed yet still I run into MD's now and then that warn me about becoming insulin insensitive.
I have noticed moderate benefits from the HGH. My skin looks great and my overall physique is moderately improved. I get blood work every 6 months and it all looks great. My IGF-1 stays around 350 to 400 on this dose.
I also do HYPERBARIC OXYGEN... yes, I actually own a chamber which I get in every morning for about an hour. I love it and no it's not one of those steel ones - LOL. It's actually portable... I think this is the site that shows my unit:
http://www.VitaO2.com
I have the Respiro 27inch unit.
I'm not perfect but I do the best I can with my diet and eat vegetables and lean protein everyday... lots of green stuff. about 5 to 6 days a week I start my morning with a drink I that consists of the following:
2 CUPS FRESH CELERY JUICE
2 TBLSPNS CYRO FOOD (Standard Process)
1 SCOOP GREENS FIRST (doctors nutrition)
2 CUPS SPINACH (organic)
1 CUCUMBER (organic)
HANDFUL PARSLEY (organic)
HADFUL CILANTRO (organic)
1 WHOLE AVOCADO (organic)
1 LIME (JUICE ONLY)
2 TBLSPNS OLIVE OIL
DASH OF SALT (REAL)
1/2 CUP CRUSH ICE
I whip all this up in the VITAMIX and it looks like a green shake... My wife won't even come in the kitchen after I make it but, it's the ONE THING I'VE COME Across that literally makes me feel like a million bucks day after day.
(SORRY FOR RAMLBING.. just wanted to share that recipe as just about everyone who tries it falls in love with it)
My main interest is FIRST.
TESTOSTERONE and HGH
and the long term responsible use of it. I found this video on google and was amazed:
**broken link removed**
I recently changed anti aging doctors and started using some testosterone and other things and while I feel pretty good I don't think this MD knows as much as many of the veterans on this board.
My main question is:
Can testosterone and HGH be used long term responsibly do increase quality of life?
and are there any good studies in the past or underway to backc this up? OR even personal experience?
Again, I am not a BB but just someone who is active and health oriented looking to leverage technology and rx science for my benefit and the benefit of others.
Since this new MD put me on testosterone I feel much better... it's only been about 6 weeks but my moods are much better, my drive for work is better and sexual attraction to my wife to be honest has really doubled.
On the other hand I want to make sure I do this proper as this is ones life. I look at some of the doses and things young people on here are doing and it scares me a little (I used to be 23 too you know).
Any help would be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Jeff
PS - I have concerns about the current program the MD put me on and how to come off it etc but I will post that in a follow up email. Again, anyone here, your time is greatly appreciated and if there is anything I can do to return the favor please let me know.
