High Blood Pressure

I have just found out that my blood pressure has gotten out of contol 145 over 98. I have not really had a problem with it in the past. maybe some 130 over 85 but that was it. I have used A-50, d-bol, super test, ect. never really a problem. that the other day I go for 400mg of deca and 100mg of equipose which I have used before but this time. Bam! With in seconds of the injection I started coughing. It took me about oe hour to get under control. A day or so later while in the drug store I used there blood pressure machine just as a check. 145 over 98. So the next day I go back and get the same thing. Then I go to the Doctor on the fourth day and it is 150 over 100.

I am 46, 210lb, 6 foot, about 12% body fat and work out three times a week (no cardio) with good results for me. I mean I travel a lot on Business and my goal is to look great in the business world not to do shows. I am not strick with my diet but at times I am.

The doctor put me on 10mg of Lisinopril?

Do I need to stop the my use of gear altogether or just add the Lisinopril and see if it my BP comes down?

i was put on stroke watch when i had a bad reaction to d-bol. 198 over 130! they said i shoould had stroked out long before. i just cut out the d-bol and do stricktly injectables and have never had a prob since
 
Coughing never had much to do with my blood pressure.

Sounds like a reaction to whatever you injected. I made a home brew batch of fina once and got that coughing reaction. But, my blood pressure only became and issue when I got heavy. Then you have to start really watching what you eat. I hold an assload of water on high sodium foods. It makes a real difference in my case. ;)

i just wanted to say the same.fina made me cough like its no tomorow.and when i am over 280 i have the problem(i guess a lot of us does)problems with breathing,what i do i feel like my blood presure shot out of the roof(when i lift,and not only :eek: ).but at the same time it takes some time for my body to get use to where i am at,and everything goes to normal.untill i want to go heavyer.its very hard transition thought for my body to take.but i still doing it :D

Don'y mess around with blood pressure...it is clear sign that your gonna have a stroke or heart-attack both of which i am sure are not much fun...Be smart use your head and think ahead
 
Guys thanks or the advice. This not anything I want to take a chance with so I dicide to come off the gear for a while. I am going to clean up my diet and see what happens.

I did though make a run down to TJ this week end to pick up a couple of thing before I head back east. While I was in a vet shop down there I ran into a brother from San Diego. The Guys was 52 and ripped. We taked a bit and I told him what happened to me. His thinking was I hit a vain without knowing it. He said it my problems came on to fast after the injection and thus the gear was right into the blood stream.

Anyway I and still going to put the gear away and clean up my diet.
 
Misconceptions about Blood Pressure

You can not feel your blood pressure. You never know when it is high. IF you do not get it under control, 120/80 or under, you could have kidney damage and vision problems.
 
phil or anyone else-is there a legit way to control blood pressure through herbal remedies?
 
I have found that when I get high blood pressure it is from either the amount of weight I am in the offseason or what food I take in junk vs clean- also orals have really contributed to this as well as eca stack- I usually get monster nosebleeds so that is my telltale signs- I would cut back some weight or make your diet clean and good to perfect your bp, diet is always very important in this game and a lot of people do not understand this...

It doesnt matter what raises it, if it is raised, you are asking for trouble in the long run.
 
btw - i recently garnered this info while researching the topic for myself.

i cannot vouch for its effectiveness yet but i should be able to tell after ~8wks when i go back to the doc.

i can feel my blood pressure worse at times than others by the headaches and head "pressure" i get. def not a good feeling.

exactly - knowing your circumstances is important so you can avoid those things but high bp is never "ok" to have.

hell on kidneys long before other things happen (stroke, etc.)

to you phil hernon but i do dissagree with the comment about not feeling you blood pressure rise. the reason i got my blood pressure checked was because of symptoms like headaches, fast heart beat, tunnel vision,etc. and i think that it is important that people to know to look for these symptoms before they do some irreversible damage.
 
feeling symptoms is a very individual thing, the vast majority of people never notice a feeling of having high blood pressure.

it is called the silent killer for a reason.

I am by no means a doctor and who am I to tell you what you do or dont feel.
 
I can tell you first hand.....

BP is not always "felt" when it is high. However the signs and symptoms of headaches, chronic nosebleeds, erythemic face (reddened face) can sometimes be observed in patients with HTN. However the fact still remains probably 98% of people do not know it. Your body will do whatever it can to remain homeostatic. This is when the body begins to compensate for elevated BP. To really get down to it have it checked by a properly trained medical specialist. I have had patients who come in with a stroke. The familys say "she never had high blood pressure". The reality is the person probably had it elevated for some time and had no treatment. In one case the womans BP was continually 210/110. Now this is a stroke waiting to happen or a heart attack to boot. BP is serious and needs to be addressed with most bodybuilders. What you dont know can hurt you....
 
very true

that some do feel it and some dont. im just saying that if you are one of the ones who are noticing these various effects that it would be a good idea to pay a visit to the doc.
