How frequently do you deadlift?

How often do you deadlift?

Been playing with sumo as an accessory. Still using my back thou, not all anterior. Feels good on my hams and I get a nice stretch, I get this weird itching or got feeling in my right ham and hope that's not how a tear starts out. I'm actually much weaker at sumo, so I assume getting it higher should help somewhere?

On a side note, deadlift bars do not give more do they? My friend claimed they do, to make the lift easier. I thought that was Only Olympic bars to avoid the shock. I used a bar with a lot of give the other day and I was actually weaker because I'm used to pulling out of the bottom. I was under the impression they were stiffer.

Glad to hear you're implementing some sumo. Idk about that itchy hot feeling man, I've been fortunate enough to not experience any tears thus far. Just keep an eye on it, if it gets worse get it checked out. Getting your sumo numbers up will definitely help your conventional pull as well as your squat.
Yes, there actually is a difference between a pull bar and a regular bar.. first being the diameter(slightly smaller) and the knurling being more aggressive. Secondly, it will give more. This allows you to get your shoulders back and chest out (removing the slack).

I do them on every back day, occasionally I substitute a second row (heavy) like tbars with bent rows, instead of deads and bent rows but most of the time I have those two as my bread and butter.

2 times a week. 5-3-1 :headbang:

As often as you can while still progressing.
I would say start with twice a week, if this is the lift you are focusing on. I would do one session higher rep (say 8s) and one lower rep (say 3s), try to steadily get one more rep in each session without killing yourself.
Big calories and big gear and all should be good.
Body becomes its function so have it pull often.
No such thing as overtraining if you are reaching your goals.

I just added them back to my work out, I changed my work out a couple months ago, and stopped doing them - I feel stupid!! unless you physically can't do them correctly, they should be in your routine.. I plan on doing them 2 x per week..
