There are many threads in the main forum that are excellent. Some discussing motivation, biographies, why members began training, etc. All excellent threads and you should read them. It seems fitting that these threads should appear at this time of year, with summer approaching and some big shows, that many of us are maximizing our efforts and tweaking our routines. If you have lost some motivation, or feel a little disenchanted lately, bring it here and we will all see if we can get you back on track if you like.

The members here care when someone is having a rough go at it and they always offer constructive and intelligent advice. So if you feel this way, or even if you don't, but want to chime in but didn't want to do it on the main forum, throw it out here so we can attack it and you can move on.

That what we're all here for: total health - body AND mind.

Hope everyone is well and training hard and making gains. Keep up the good work!

I'm fat, hungry, tired AND have to put up with JT teasing me about the car. How about that? :D

Funny as it seems, that statement probably makes you the sanest board member here.

man, my life is so confusing. the great new job I have, well.... there was a big merger and in 90 days from now, we may have to move our offices out of state, which would be a 2 hour drive from where I am now. They said that if our office does move (which they'll know in about 90 days) that they'll give us either 30 days to relocate or to try and find another job.

its so f'ed up. I finally got a job that pays very good money, and is paying for me to finish my degree... I thought this was the perfect job for me, now I find this out. I don't want to relocate as its hard enough now to spend time with my daughter and she's more important to me then anyone or anything. and there's no way that I'll be driving 2 hrs to work (btw thats if traffic is perfect) and then 2 hours back home.

man, if only life was simple lol.

Rob, I think I know you well enough to say that you're a survivor. I know you'll be alright no matter what life throws at you and it has thrown you some curve balls I'll give ya that. Hang in there....

...and don't forget, if life were simple then you'd be simple too. Unfortunately for us people, it seems our lot in life is to experience and overcome adversity.... ...from the day we're born.

Man, im with Steak. I need to plop on your couch sometime as well!!

I saw that! I remember reading that thread thinking "this bitch is all fucked up!" but you'll get through all that faster than you think. You're just in the dumper now because you're all lamed up. I know what that feels like.
You got all yours at once! But you know these things heal quick right? You'll be hitting the weights in no time. Just for reference though... I've had a lot that kind of thing. I don't have a file at the hospital, those bastards wheel out my cart.
I've had frostbite on both feet and a broken right toe which is now just a lump after the joint froze solid, frayed patelar tendons on both knees and hyperextensions of both as well, a compund fracture of the right humorous (literally broken in half), 4 shattered ribs, one of the fragments punctured my left lung which collapsed, my nose has has been broken 3 times and reset once, I've had 3 major skull fractures and so many concusions I can't even count! the worst though was that lung. Three weeks on a respirator. If you don't know what one of those is, good. You're a better man for not knowing.

sToRy and Steak... that's what we're here for! Sigmund and Strongmind are also excellent too! But if you want to chat, I'm easy to find.

i cant thank him enough!!!

thanks brother!

Bump that. He was/is an essential healing point for my wife and I when we went through our problem 2 months ago.

Glad he helped you Picko! You are a good man and if you need to chat give me a shout. Too bad I couldn't meet up with you at the Arnold this year.

I am feeling sooooo stressed today!! I spent a few days with my daughter at the hospital, on top of it, I have gone into business with an old co-worker and we've been up for about two months. Hospital food is not real condusive to a precontest diet, so I am feeling a little behind in the fat loss department. This week I have finally seen some money and been able to play catch up, so that load is off my shoulders. All this week I have been pushing to get a fairly large deal done and after busting ass (sneaking away to the hospitals library to go online and work, getting help from others to make sure all was going ok), the damn thing gets postponed to Tuesday. This is a good five figures that I was expecting and would allow us to put a chunk back into the biz. I just put so much pressure on myself to make this happen, that I didn't realize it's not the end of the world. Nobody was mad at me, the money will come, and people still have faith I can get the job done. In the middle of all of this, my wife's grandmother (who has pretty much adopted me) called to let me know she has lung cancer and wants me to take her to a specialist next week. So for a few hours, I've been thinking about how devastated my son will be about this. I don't want to tell my wife and I think her grandmother wants to keep quiet for now. Just a whole lot of shit all once. I will be the one to handle grandma's financial stuff as she's bestowed that responsibility on me since her son is a few states away. She's told me to sell her house, do her tax stuf, and so on. So that will be one more thing on my plate. I want so much to hire an assistant so I can go out and market more, as my productivity would double, but I am afraid to let go of control and have someone else dependant upon me for their livelihood.
I need some palm trees and surf!!

Pickles and Kaiser (heck, everybody)

You guys did it yourself. I can point here or there in this direction or that direction but it's you that were brave enough to fight the issue instead of running from it. If your life is improved now, it's because of your own actions. I just sit behind a desk. You guys live out that stuff. So great job and I'm very pleased to see everyone "working" again.

All the members here that I've spoken with whether having trouble with their wives and girlfriends, even the girls that had trouble with their guys, overtraining, deaths, breakups and all the other things which we've talked about in here and in private... I'm happy to see you all working through these things. It takes strength to see and admit a problem and even more to seek help whether that be your own research, or talking with someone, and EVEN THE MOST STRENGTH to beat the problem. It's those that deserve all credit. Anyone, and most do, can run away from problems or hit them head on. Hit 'em head on. To me, that's strength.

I will be back on or around April 14th. Should anything happen during that time, feel free to email me. I will check PMs but not as often. Sigmund and I confer on many issues and he is completely legit - a Great guy to talk to and a friend to anyone. And don't forget our newest staff member, Strongmind. She has a lot of education and is very astute in her observations. Not to mention guys, it's nice to have a female perspective too. Until then, train hard, get nourishment, stay hydrated, and be calm. "For who of you by worrying can add a single day to his life?"

The bills are in the mail BTW hahahaha

Do there IS life beyond marriage! I've heard this myth told around many a campfire but I never believed it were true!

Hate to say it, but your ex may be headed for a serious crash and burn. You don't need to be part of the collateral damage.

Good to hear you're doing good max... Actually, I haven't seen you around much. Glad you popped in. You ARE blessed! Congrats...

do'in so-so....

really feeling kinda frustrated and powerless. I'm 6 months out from a torn bicep tendon and repair surgery mentally I'm rarin to go but but trainer and my own fears of re-injury are holding me back.

I'm ready to cycle again mentally , BUT not sure if thats wise yet , and , in the meantime, my buds at the gym have progressed.

Not quitting , not giving up but get that frustrated, whats the use of trying feeling alot more than I used too.

I just finally scrolled down to see this section, I'm really glad it's here.

Brock
