...article claims that in the future humans may be able to obtain speeds over 40 mph and that what is limiting us now is the speed our muscles work and not the skeletal system. Therefore if scientists could get muscles to work faster it would be feasible to run faster. personally i don't buy this article but it was still a good read

Are humans really getting faster? Or are the ones we 'test' just getting more select? I think the latter, so no, I don't think anyone will ever get even close to 40mph. Bolt is going about 27-28mph during his fastest part of the 100m from what I read, the funny thing about him is, he actually looks natural, most 100m sprinters look like competive BBs.

I remember when i was young, there was this show called "beyond 2000"... lots of cool shit that was going to happen in the future... it's 2010 now and i haven't seen shit get produced that was shown on that show... LOL

it's nice that "scientists" are looking for a way to make humans run at 40 mph... since we have cars and all and that shit would be useless... i guess they got bored of searching for a cure for cancer..

I watched that show religously. But to be fair a lot of things from that show I suspect were bought up by giant corps and buried so not to ruin business. Like the car that ran on water. Inventor probably bought by oil companies. And there was a metal freezing process that if u took disposable razor u could make it last ten shaves instead of one. Gilette prob bought off that technology!
