Most people that can afford to pay cash for something such as this, also know that cash or credit your essentially financing (or losing possible income). If they pay cash, and are making approx 8% on their investments that they pull from to pay for the car/boat, but could borrow the money at say 6%...then they may finance. With Rates being so low right now...

I have a close friend that has a very nice net worth, and I was helping him with a loan thru the bank I work for. I was shocked to see his Bentley and Ferrari financed on his credit report. that’s when he explained the same thing to me.
