Injecting Lateral Delt

So I tried injection into the Lateral Delt today, I followed the instructions on howtodoinjections.com. It didn't say how many ml you can inject there, but I believe it's only 1ml or less. If I remember correctly, I had seen a thread on the forum which stated how much per site, but I can't seem to find that thread.

Anyway, I injected 1ml Synthetine today into the Lateral Delt. The area is slightly sore, but I think it is because of the way I was holding the needle and not from the actual injection. When I was removing the needle I saw it was bending. I'm sure that is not good.
I usually do a mix of Synthetine/Syntheselen and was afraid to inject the Syntheselen there (didn't want any pain).

So the questions are:

1. How many ml can you inject into the Lateral Delt? Does it differ by how big you are?

2. What's the best way to inject to the Lateral Delt (so you don't move and bend the needle)? I read that after some people put the needle in, they use the wall to push on the plunger.

You were ROUGH to have a bent needle. That means you damaged some of the muscle tissue, that is why the pain. Be careful because rough injections cause scar tissue.

1. At your size and since these are water based, 2ml at once is fine.

2. DO NOT USE THE WALL! That is for unflexible people that are too lazy to stretch and stay flexible.
You should have no reason not to reach over with the opposite arm, accross your chest and do the injection. I do that when I am 280+ without problems. But I am flexible.

I've hit it for a ml of long esters. It seems to get red easier then other spots.

LOL I didn't mean the needle "actually" bent. I meant as I was pulling it out it looked like it was bending (flexible), but once it was out it was completely straight. So I must have been moving it around and not holding still.

So tonight I injected the 2ml (Syntheselen 1ml + Synthetine 1ml) in my lateral delt. Yes, I am flexible, so I just reached over to do the injection. The injection went fine, except for a little blood when I withdrew. I now know that this is a normal occurence so I wasn't worried.

A few minutes later though I thought my upper arm was going dead. It sure felt like it. Now I was worried! I started to massage my arm, but nothing helped. About 15 minutes later that feeling started to go away.

So now with my arm down the delt just feels a little sore and with my arm up the delt feels a little tight and sore. I'll see how it feels in the morning.

BTW - I used a 30g 1inch needle for this injection. On your howtodoinjections site it says to use 1/2 inch to a 1 inch needle. Can I use a 1/2 inch? Is that long enough for a woman to hit the muscle in the delts?

The liquid put pressure on a nerve. Nothing to worry about as you said it got better as time went on.

1/2" will be fine for you for IM in the delt.

Thanks again. Arm is much better, but my delt is sore. Ugh! I hope it's OK by tomorrow night.. I have a match. I don't have high hopes though since my glute is still a little sore from when I put pressure on that nerve. Double Ugh! But the good news is that my delt is not nearly as sore as my glute had gotten.

So now that I've had liquid put pressure on a nerve twice, in two different areas.. I ask, is there any way to know how to avoid hitting or putting pressure on a nerve? Or is it just hit, miss, or be near?

It's luck of the draw. As you have noticed by now, some injections are totally painless and others can hurt to varying degrees. Wait until you end up with a factory blunt needle

I used a 25 gauge 1.5 '' pin to inject 4 mls in the anterior delt shot and it went well but it pained an awful lot and stinging sensation for hours on end. Probably the most painful shot I ever had..

what did you expect?? 1.5 is way to deep and bro, 4ml's? jesus, thats alot for a delt shot.

I use a 1" 22 gauge in Lat delt I have never done more then a cc, but I know several who have put 3cc in a delt with no after effects.

This is my least discomfortable site to inject

I did approx 3 mls .. not 4... Ok... And I only did it based ont he advice and suggestions and didnt know it will have caused such .. I never knew I wasnt to inject more than 2 or 3mls in the delt.

I managed to get 4 ml of syntheselen in one shot in one side delt and another 4 ml shot in my other delt.

It didn't hurt as injecting it but after 5 mins or so I had terrible soreness in my delts. Do you think it's because I did all my daily dosages in 2 shots instead of 4? (I'm 182 cm tall and weigh 92.5 kgs, with 9% BF at the moment)

I use a 23g 1" needle on my side delts, would that be 2 thick? do you think I should change it 2 25g 1/2''?

I developed a god damn lump in my upper left glute from syntheselen and I've got a small bruise there too. Would massage help to dissipate and break it faster? What do you think went wrong there. I've been injecting it for 2 1/2 weeks before that no probs.

Keep in mind that I'm on currently on AAS and the only 2 compounds I inject are synthetine & syntheselen...
