Injecting thru a tattoo??

This may be a dumb question...but was wondering if site injecting thru a tatto is safe. Does/ has anyone done it safely? Would it screw up the ink?? Catch ink in the needle on it's way thru?? Cause an infection in the muscle if the ink was caught in the needle on the way thru??

i've done it, but the tatoo doenst have much detail so i wasnt worried about screwing it up.... i never thought about the ink and infection

i wouldnt think you would get an infection cuz its already under your dermis, so if it was dirty ink you would have problems already

i havent injected through any of my "pretty" tats..... i usually try to hit a spot without ink

my doc wont inject me anywhere near my tats though, never says why, i shall ask next time i'm there

any other opinions??

dont worry, take from a tattoo artist you will be fine

Both shoulders filled with ink and I just drive right through them. No problems.

Pins never affected my shoulder ink. The arthroscope on the other hand left a scar.
