Tattoo ? Small arms to big arms?

Have any of you got a tattoo on your bicep / tricep when your arms were a lot smaller?
Question is if you put 2” on your upper arms DOES THE TATOOO LOOK THE SAME?
my left arm is 2” smaller than my right arm as I am 14 weeks post car crash and no training on the left upper body.
Want to get the tattoo though now while I’m on short term disability and off work.
Worried when I get that left arm back up in size if the tattoo will warp or look odd?

It'll look fine if you bulk. Just tell the artist your concern so you can feel confident the size is appropriate

It will be fine. Only time I've seen it get weird is a stomach tattoo when someone was skinny/normal sized and then became morbidly obese.

My tattoo guy said that size needs to go up about 10x before the image distorts. I think you're fine.

Yup, my sleeve looks the same as when I got it, I’ve gained about 2” since then. Not that I have big arms, but the tattoo is just as sharp.

Just make sure to take care of it like you should (moisturize, skin lotion, protect it from excessive UV/sunlight etc)

Edit...it didn't mess up the tattoo...it was just a face of Mary in a weird spot and it just looked goofy when you go from 160 to 330 but the tattoo actually held up just fine.

This plus I think the timeline matters. Meaning, the quicker you grow, the worse it could be for the skin.

I think it has to be substantial changes (I.e., 150lbs to 250lbs), etc.

My ink looks the same 25 years later and at one point had gained 100lbs since the tatoo. Looks the same just twice the size. Lol

Had a similar issue when I bulked up and the ink stretched weirdly. It didn’t look bad right away but after a few years it started losing detail.

I checked out thinkagaintattooremoval.com since I was considering fixing or removing parts of it, and they had solid info about how muscle changes can mess with how tattoos age. Worth looking into if yours is heading that direction.

i had a circular tatto made on my arm pre training and gear, now years later its no longer circular its oval and its since been inked over.. but no putting on big amounts off muscle will deff skew your tattoo.

I’ve had small patches of bare skin appear in some areas where I would typically aquire stretch marks. I think some fading and loss of density is to be expected in areas with shading. Just a matter of going in for touch ups to compensate if it bothers you tbh

You gotta plan ahead so things match as you age. When I was HOOOOGE I got a tattoo of a ballsack on my arm. Now as I have aged and atrophied, the tattoo itself has begun to sag in a realistic manner. ART

It all depends on tattoo placement and the tattoo...Most areas will hold up fine adding/losing size.

All will look like shit by the time our book closes...If we're fortunate enough to live a long life.

I have that issue on my dick tatt…grows to much when I get a boner and looks funny!!!

Jk….I was tiny when I got mine and they look fine still.
