Injection site pain question

I did a shot on sunday 2 ml of 250 mg test e so 500 mg in my right glute.
it didnt hurt at all, but that night i could kind of feel some discomfort.
monday it was more painful, was walking with some discomfort but nothing major
tuesday was even worse, hurt to sit down and hurt to walk.
today its better but still some slight pain.
My glute is swollen, and today i noticed there was a red splotch right below the injection site. I have been massaging it, and sitting on a heat pad. Is this normal , or could it possibly be infected? I have doxycycline if needed. Can provide pics if necessary. Please let me know.

Maybe just irritated. Keep an eye on the redness though. But if pain is subsiding probably is ok. Is it hot to touch? if the redness gets worse or the pain starts to ramp up then go to a doctor. But keep a close eye on it.

The pain is deffinately subsiding. It is not hot to touch. It is a faint red not really dark or anything. I think its just irritated, it is also swollen pretty good. Oh and funny sig, i have been saying that recently haha, aint nuthin but a peanut

This sort of happened to me in my delt sunday, felt like it was dripping from my delt into my tricep. I used 300mg advil a day with heat 3x a day and it's fine now, just a bit tight.

If it is pusling than it may be a start of infection.

i used test e before it was bd and that was some painful shit i think test e just is painful you can cut it with sterile grape seed oil and try heating the oil if you do these two there shouldnt be any pain as for the red patch dont worry about it i did a delt shot once and my whole bicep and tricep blew up big red and swollen for almost a week but it never happened since

update today:
pain was the same if not worse
its not hot to the touch but warmer than the rest of my leg
its not red where i injected, it is slightly below.
