Injured again!

Well, I am a funeral director, and this is how it went down. I was coming back from a hospital, on my way back to the funeral home, and i had a 200 pound body in the back of the van. I was coming down a mountain road when about 6 deer jumped out in front of me. I slammed on the breaks and the stretcher and body slammed me in the back of the seat. My legs went numb, and i had tremendous lumbar pain. I went to the er and found out that i have two herniated disks and a bulging disk. this happened on the 11th of march and i can still barely move without pain. F**K i am pissed!

van...deer or potentially injure myself...i running right through them as long as not fast enough to really smash up car....they are a problem around my area and ive sent a few flying with my honda accord without damaging it....if it me or the deer=bye bye deer!!!

That sucks bro. I was out for a month and a half with a herniated disc in the lumbar area. Like you I could not move, freaking couch moose. After about 3 weeks I went to see a deep tissue masseuse, ( because worker comps physical therpy was a freaking joke). It did wonders for me, within two days I had full range of motion. I fatigue faster and have a little pain but I am back lifting 100% and have full range of motion. Good luck man, I understand how jacked up it feels!

Sorry to hear this. Is this something that physical thearpy will help or do you need surgery?

Wow, that body must have really hit you with serious force to do that. Im glad things didnt turn out worse though, they could have. Are you able to at least perform the duties of your job ok now? I would think youre up on your feet a lot, and that probably hurts after a long day.

I have been out of work since 3/11, and im climbing the walls!! I just want the pain to go away, and go back to work/gym

Is it causing sciatica too? Wondering if its putting pressure on the sciatic nerve. Ive had injured lower back many times, nothing that didt heal on its own though over the course of 1 week. Wheh your lower back is in pain it seems like you cannot do anything. I sure hope you find relief soon. Are you on any good pain meds, ilke hydrocodone? that might help short term.

the dr gave me dilaudid, but 2 weeks worth!!! and my appt isnt until nex t week. what a dick, and he wouldnt see me sooner or write a new script

Wow, I think that stuff is about as strong as it gets itsnt it? Only 2 weeks worth though. SO how long are you going to be without pain meds? If I were you I would call the office and tell them you need more. WHen I had my hernia surgery I did that and my wife went in and picked up a script for something stronger. They wont call the stuff in for you. You have to go pick up the script in person. Something to do with it being a scheduled substance. My wife was able to get it for me though. Im sure the doc will help you, I would hope!?

I was told they were too packed because the dr just came back from vacation!!!!!! i have to wait

I simply hate when I am injured by flying dead bodies!!!

A sincere sorry for your pain, but that is a funny

story. At least to those of us not in the business. Except as customers.

How could no one comment on getting hit by a run away dead body? Just another day at the office honey?

Talking about dead bodies. Has anyone else noticed how much more a dead person seems to weigh!? The phrase "dead weight" really does have meaning. I cringe to think of that 200 lb guy crashing into your back.

So a Dead Body weight is heavier? Is that why the term dead weight comes about?

Low back and neck pain can be so bad that I've been brought to my knees, unable to walk. I feel for u. Short of finding a new dr or shoving the diluadid up your ass, I would look for an acupunturist and a massage therapist asap, they can work wonders. Good luck.

The only thing they can actually phone in and or give refills for is hydrocodone or codeine.Percocets,morphine,dilauded,demoral all need a hard copy.And yes hydromorphone(dilauded) is the strongest being roughly 7 times or so than morphine.
