Is 8:30 to late to use insulin (Humalin R) if I plan on going to bed around 11:30?

IMO yes it is too close to bed and you should NOT do it. The second spike would hit when you are asleep.

You could probably drink alot of dextrose before bed and be ok but why take the risk.

Thanks I am holding off.
I can only workout at night (Around 7:30 or 8:00) so I guess I will not be using Insulin until I can workout during the day.

i usually work out at night, i still use insulin during the day. It still will work if u use it during the day. I def notice the difference. Plus u dont want to take it at night. Youll eat alot of simple carbs at night. It will not be good taking in that many simple carbs at night. You may get fat that way. 10iu
