That sprinter got screwed kind of... modanfanil was not exactly on the banned list but rather in a grey list area meaning they were thinking about banning it. Still she should have listed her medication so they could have told her earlier. As far as guys saying they took OTC supps... well that's a convenient story and since the general public is dumb enough to buy into it and are uneducated... well... you get the point... they are trying to save their own asses. BTW you ever look at the banned drug list for the IOC? some strange things on there.

she hasn't been stripped of her medals yet. They already decided not to ban her from the olympics and the rest of the '03 track season, they determined it was a minor substance violation. They are looking into her medical history to see if it was indeed prescribed for her narcolepsy. The real shitty part is she stands to lose two world championship gold medals and $120K for winning if they don't find sufficient proof. I watched the worlds, she blew the field away!
