Is anyone else getting these pop up type things only at PM?

Every time I open a thread, A 'Hot Deal' tab pops in through the right side of my screen, and a 'recently purchased' window slides up from the bottom of my screen. They are all ads for things I have never purchased before. I thought it was some kind of spy/malware, so I ran Spybot and Malwarebytes twice each and they still won't go away.
Are these legit ads paying PM to advertise here, or is it spam?
If its spam, what are you guys using to get rid of them?

I'm no getting that. But i have adblocker plus installed on Chrome.

Nevermind (I think).
I clicked on the little wrench icon and it had options of when to display the ads. I chose never and clicked the green checkmark, and so far they have not popped up since.
