Thanks guys. The guy that got 2nd was HUGE, I knew he was going to be in this show and I had alot of sleepless nights thinking about him, lol. His issue is he never comes in conditioned and I always DO, lol.
So my conditioning and coming in alot heavier, 7 months ago I hit the stage around 213lbs, this contest I weighed in at 229lbs and pretty much the same condition too! I thought the offseason was a flop because I didnt come near the target weight of 250, I got to maybe low 240s near the end of the offseason. But I managed to grow into the show this prep which was wicked.
I have two week until the Canadian Championships. I got to have Sunday off and I didnt really go off to bad because post contest I can never eat alot because I bloat so much and easily. But thats good because I need to keep my weight down so I can enter the heavies under 225 and come in at the top of that class. I never imagined I would do anything at the National level yet, hopes of top 10 would be a dream but I have people telling me I have a legit chance of doing quite well, so I have changed my mind set and making that my goal of a top 5 finish.
Its been a rough week having to go right back to work after the contest no real rest but Ive grinded it out, Im taking tomorrow off work because I hit a wall around 10am and literally no energy to get up. So its just rest, cardio, eat and train until next Weds when I fly out to Halifax for this contest with some friends.
Wish me luck, Im gona need it! :headbang:
