I would say everything will turn out fine. I think the most important thing would be to make it fun for the kids, so they stay interested in the sport. Judge fairly and if in doubt of a lift give the benefit to the lifter. Remember, there is no money involved and it is not a national level meet. Have fun!!!
No kidding! The first powerlifting meet I ever saw JT lift in there were these h.s. kid competing. During the squat one kid came out of the hole his knees banged together and stayed together all the way up! Someone should have taken a picture of the crowd, I think we all gasped at the same time. I'm sure everyone looked like this -->
