Just made my annual "2 month" training switch to AM sessions.

It's that time of year again. I freaking hate the first two months of the year. I switch to 5am training sessions to avoid the "resolution" crowd.

It's impossible to get anything done and keep the intensity up when the gym is overflowing with bodies . . . and I had just started to get used to PM training sessions and sleeping in a bit. :(

There is no way that I could wake up an hour and a half earlier to get to the gym to avoid the crowds.

Can't wait for the squat rack and cage to be used for drop sets of barbell curls with 5lb plates by bird legged kids in TapOut shirts.
 
LOL!!

I recently moved and started at a new gym and all i have heard is how after next week the gym will be full of NEW YEAR RESO-"LOSERS" for the month of January. I go to 24HR fitness so it's already f'in crowded and I train at 5AM, no way in hell i could go after work it would be like trying to workout at the club on Saturday night...

As if there aren't enough "bounce benchers", "2 inch squatters", and of course the swinging curlers...

Good luck man, it will be a tuff adjustment but keep the faith!

damn i forgot about the resolution crowd, i hate this time of year maybe a time switch is a good idea.
 
Growl & Fart alot

I just make faces and growl. If I want to you use a specific rack or machine I'll do a crop dusting in the area and that usaully clears out the sparrow legged crowd:rolleyes:
 
It will take a week or two to get used to, for sure. But nice because I NEVER have to wait for anything. Just a few professional types that doing circuit training stuff and breeze through the machine really quick.

Also, there is this really weird guy that works out at 5am and is all about looking at himself in the mirror b/w sets. He is so stuck in the past . . . wears really tiny shorts, combat boots, wife beater shirt and a rag on his dome . . . He looks about 45 years old. I'm guessing he has Mili Vanili or something like that on that "cassete" player on his waist with the huge headphones . . . I shit you not!

The cardio section is mostly just ARRP types that all sit on the bikes and read magazines and talk, and are very nice, but don't understand I don't want to see their saggy balls in the locker room. Just something with old people. They like to air dry.
