I believe before the olympia there was a big discussion on a pro having edema, the fingers pointed at kai greene. Now he is dropping from the arnold classic..

Many people are saying it's good for his health and what not, but i cant help but look at all of these other guys who compete twice a year (branch, ronny rockel, dexter, toney freeman, etc.) they don't look like they are physically in pain with every step and look 5 minutes away from death. Okay okay, im going over board with my description but you get what im saying.

Anyone care to discuss the issue?

Well if it is health related I am glad to see him taking a step back and hopefully attempting to remedy the situation.

I guess i'm just kind of confused, simply because he is the defending champ and he still needs to get an olympia qualification in order to compete in this years olympia.

Unless he takes the entire year off, i don't think it was a wise decision financially or physically.

Instead of skipping competitions to fix his health, why doesn't he change his diet and supplement routine..

Of course this is all speculation, i don't know what kai does or what his health is like...

Guess we have to wait and see

There are 4 or 5 guys who could all win the Arnold, whether Kai was there or not:

Wolfe
Victor
Heath
Branch
Dexter

All pretty darn good competitors when they are ON and Branch, Dexter and Heath are rarely off..

Heath is also out this year. So I would put Evan in the run for a win with the others.

He'll do the NY and win that one for an easy pass to the Olympia.

Man, I'm shooting for Branch! He deserves it!

Phil Heath is taking the Arnold off to prepare for the Olympia I heard!

As for Kai, maybe he is just doing the same thing as Heath, gonna take more time for off season? He already has plenty of mass, just needs to get a different prep guy for the show maybe? I don't know... He came in looking very unlike I thought he would at the O!
