Not only should Arnold have not won

But I've got him somewhere around 8th

Dickerson, Zane, Padilla, Mentzer and Coe for top 5 for me. Not necessarily in that order, and hard to tell with the old video quality. They all looked amazing and Arnold was definitely not the winner of that show. If Tom had more upper body to match his amazing legs he would be the man. As a short guy I've always loved Danny's look. The OG Giant Killer.

From that film i might think 8th is a gift. Seems he didn't train very long for this show and was by far his lightest weight for an Olympia from al i have heard over the years. He never was my fav form back then. I often found Sergio and others impressed me more.

Danny and Lee are two of my faves. But, when I first started training back in the day with my dad he was a huge Platz fan. So he’s up there too. He was telling me yesterday about seeing him at the ‘81 Olympia the next year. Another situation where they gifted Columbo the title and either Platz or Dickerson should have easily won.

Arnold mentioned that after the prejudging the judges told him he's not gonna win as he's not as sharp as the other guys. So he spent the next couple of hours in the Sauna and posing and went to the finals and won.
