here's the link to the article .

he mentions things which are quite opposite to what we tend to believe . some of them are .
1)heavy resistance training actually increases the concentration (number) of androgen/anabolic receptor-sites on trained muscle tissue .
2)you can utilize specific protocols to induce growth in specific areas resulting in an alteration in shape .
3)8 week heavy weight training protocol they realized that the test subjects muscle fibers showed evidence of converting from type-I (slow twist) to type-II (fast twist) muscle fibers (how did this happen !!??) .

The theory of fiber fusion states that a damaged muscle cell will fuse with one of the body's satellite cells, in order to fully repair itself. I'm not 100% sure this is the reason for type I conversion to type II, but we know that type II b fibers often convert to type II a or c fibers during fusion, so why not type I to type II, especially since type II fibers are thicker and stronger so would fit the theory of adaptation as well. It has been demonstrated in the past that type I can convert to type II in weight trained athletes, as can type II convert to type I in endurance athletes, so clearly this is no fluke.

yeah ! exactly what i was thinking . anyway , as a person gets old , he atrophies it seems becos of conversion of his type 2 fibres to type 1 . ..... so another evidence of fibre type conversion .
