so im 47 and been training since my teens.....as i have gotten older pumps havent been the same, although certain bodyparts like back arms delts get good pumps.
my chest in the past would get enormous pumps...full fledged.

as of the last few years, i cant seem to get those pumps....if any.

im wondering if anyone has gone thru something similar. idk if its age related. im on and off juice since my 20s and im on 300 test and 300 deca.

any tips id appreciate

thanks

Everything goes to shit when you get older. Haha 😆
I know exactly what you’re saying.
If i want a great pump I’ll take preworkout tadalifil.
If that isn’t good enough I’ll add preworkout IGF1-LR3 micro-injected into the muscle I’m about to train. For chest inject 10mcg IGF1-LR3 in 5 spots of each pec, 100mcg total.
If that’s not good enough add 50mg adrol and 20mg dbol 2 hours preworkout.
Then it’s on like Long Duck Dong! 🦆

yea i do the intra, the viagra and tne - helps with energy and strength more than pumps...of course certain days are better than others but overall i just cant get much blood flow into the chest area.
glad im not the only one....guess its age related. getting old sucks.

im on serostim 3iu - dont know if i wanna add igf also.

Add a good amount of salt to your water and drink whilst training....I think you'll be surprised.

Try this if . . .

bigsonbitch,

Do db flys immediately followed by dips or decline presses
immediately followed by elevated (feet) push-ups, all to
momentary failure.

Rest between sets must be kept to a minimum, like three
seconds or less to maximize the effect.

I think flat bench presses increase the risk for injury so I
am not a proponent of them so I have substituted dips
(preferable) or decline presses.

If you insist on doing flat presses, do them on the floor
with a barbell of dumbbells.

The elevated push-ups are a great ‘finished’ (whatever
the hell that means) and will really force the blood in
your pecs.

Please report back.

I don’t think adding ‘drugs’ is necessary or desirable
and are not always the correct answer. Not saying
they don’t or won’t work, just for me, I would explore
all other exercise options in your illusive quest for
a maximum pump.

Further . . . it is my opinion, that a muscular pump
is typically indicative, a precursor to, an indicator of
future growth. Perhaps, just perhaps, your chest has
achieved the maximum muscular size and these
great pumps of the past will not be present in the future.
(This in the absence of drugs.)

And getting older sucks :( and could very well be a
factor, but why just your chest . . . I have no clue.

two words: progressive overload.

Change up your training

Apart from increasing sodium (which should idd help), have you tried Glycerol already? It's amazing what that stuff can do for your pumps and vascularity. You look/are fuller and leaner at the same time.

Where do you get it? Bulkpowders?

so this would be like a tri set?
how many sets would you recommend? rep range etc.

thanks!!

It sounds like you’re taking everything you need. It must just be that we’re older.

thats what im thinking, but why just my chest? weird..
oh and i didnt mention strength is down a good 30% on the bench.

idc about that at this point...just miss those pumps

It could be a combination of things such as genetics and age, or both. I've worked with a lot of men who never seemed to get that squeeze and feel in the pecs. Its no different than someone with horrible arms. Genetically you may be limited in some areas.

Yes, I guess you could call it one big tri-set with no rest
in between sets.

One set (cycle) would work. I have found that two works
best for me. Three in my opinion means you are not totally
focused, working hard enough and therefor not necessary,
would only delve into your recovery ability, leading to
over training but opinions differ widely on this subject. If you
really work as hard as possible, as required, than one or two
cycles will suffice and will be all you will want to do and
ideally, all you are capable of doing.

Can't stress enough working to failure and moving very quickly
between sets. That in my opinion is the key. The push ups at
the end are 'icing on the cake' and will really burn but keep grind-
ing them out. You can always take your feet off the bench and
put them on the floor and keep going to further failure.

You will be amazed.

Oh . . . reps . . . I would say a minimum of ten to minimize injury
and facilitate blood flow. For push ups, the sky is the limit.

You can buy it in the pharmacy here in BE :) Comes in 1L bottles that aren't too expensive. 1 to 2 swirls from the bottle half an hour preworkout and you're good to go. If they ask you why you're buying it (which they shouldn't but some pharmacists are a bit too curious, just say you're buying it for it's hydrating properties during sports, which isn't even a lie)

Over here in Belgium in the pharmacy, I don't know about the US though.

Maybe someone who lives there can chime in?

For the salt: do a search on sodium, there was a good thread by a fellow named joosxx not too long ago in which Rogue gave some excellent advice on how much to use and how to implement it. (I entirely stand by what Rogue said in that thread) But you can start now by adding some of that pink salt to ALL of your meals. That would help.

2 Sets alfresco? AJ is turning around in his grave as we speak :D

Sounds Nice, what's the price?

Since they started asking me questions years ago (I used to also get my syringes and needles from our local pharmacy back then), I have my mom pick up most of my pharmacy-stuff so I don't know :D But it's certainly not expensive or else she would have told me by now. I'll ask her tomorrow how much it costs exactly.
