Im seeing things like, "Jay Haters," and people taking remarks so personally if someone is to contradict what they say about another bodybuilder. I'm not speaking specifically about Hell Raiser or people on this thread but sites in with threads pretaining to Jay's physique General. But this sport is all about critique and it's individually based. One person's idea of a great physique may be different than someone elses. If someone said Jay looked like shit in 08', well that's just his opinion. Jay obviously corrected that and it brought him back to #1.
To a certain extent I expect this out of college sports fans and even professional sports fans other than bodybuilding, but can't we be a little more analytical about things with this sport. This is about one person who can f*** up quickly and one night can mean the difference between 1st and 5th place (speaking specifically about preloading).
I think it's very impressive for someone to accept humility in defeat, and being humble in victory. I think the fans of Jay could do the same, and the same goes for fans of other bodybuilders. Jay looked great, not necessarily my cup of tea, but I'm not judging and he made a damn good showing from what I have seen and heard. I can honestly say that I'm purely a spectator and have no favorite, but I do enjoy being a spectator.
