Legality of Research Chemicals

Going in for a meeting with my Lawyer later this week and wanetd to ask some questions: What kind of information should I prep for him?

I want to be secure as humanly possible with him and if anyone here can uncover something that I have missed by a mile, I'd appreciate it if anyone would let me know.


1. We have previously applied for, and been approved our license.

1. Our company do not imply human use for ANY of my products; they are for RESEARCH only. This states so on our website, email response, and labels

2. I've an elaborate disclaimer all typed up by another lawyer with all of the legal mumbo jumbo that states that whenever mail goes out, and whoever receives the pack, it is 100% out of my control what they do with the substance. This disclaimer is going to be on the head of our website where a potential researcher must check a box agreeing they are 21/older before entering, and read the disclaimer.

3. I intend (very soon) to get off all vbulletin boards and have transactions solely done through paypal/CC payment on our upcoming website.

4. Taxes are filed and paid on ALL income

5. In the process of becoming a corporation/LLC

6. None of the items we carry are for human consumption, controlled substances, controlled substance analogues or psychoactive chemicals.

7. If there is an issue at customs with our powders, we can provide legal documents we are licensed and allowed to import these powders.

Were trying to make this as secure as we possibly can for ourselves, and the customer. If anyone has any legal info/tips or knows of something we missed, please PM one of us or shoot us an email, or respond to thread.

I would make sure that you have a separate bank out for your business and maybe some articles of incorporation for your LLC to make sure youre as legit as possible.

If all of your funds are going to your mattress, its going to look a lot less legit than if you have proper financial structures in place.

Other than that, I have to defer to others who have more experience with this specific type of business.

Way to many people are afraid of research chems legality. As long as you keep it in liquid form, dont sell to minors, and put the proper research lableing on the bottle, and PAY TAXES, then you'll be fine. Look at IBE. Been around for years, has shit siezed by customers with gear in newspaper articles, been opened by customs, end result, they cant be touched. Just be smart with your clients and taxes and you'll be fine.

Your lawyer should be covering this, but just in case, make sure your state/city/county are all lined up. You can pay federal taxes but still have the state or any other level of government come after you if they dont get their cut.

Usually, all you need is state and federal, but every place is different. So just make sure that youre covered on those levels.

I liked the idea of the Rick Collin's interview.

I've read over the interview, spoke with Rick myself and it answered alot of questions. I made this appointment just to make sure that the interview wasn't obsolete in a sense that none of that mattered now.

I own a couple of corporations, they can be a blessing, but you got to know what your doing. Hire a real good accountant, and ask your lawyer about protection against lawsuits. Document everything, this will save you headache down the road. Do your homework, and good luck in your business.

Ever thought about setting up a trust? Ask your lawyer....it may keep you and your assets safer in the event that something does happen. Good luck!

#1 make sure your disclaimer covers you
#2 make sure not for human consumption
#3 do not answer any question regarding use and deny the sale
#4 register as LLC limited liability Co. and you should almost have all things covered.

Unless your lawyer specializes in Tax Law, an accountant consultation is a must.
