Lately I've woken up from naps or sleeping through the night and my arms will be asleep. If I'm positioned over any limb that cuts off some of the blood flow, it will fall asleep. Sometimes wakes me up.

What's up with that? Is it a symptom of anything? I hate to be paranoid but this has never happened to be except for the last month or two.

same thing happens to me, from what ive been told its just a side effect of gaining size... have you had your blood pressure checked recently?

No, haven't had the BP checked. It's been high the last couple years but gets lower when I do cardio. Maybe it's getting high again?

Happens to me all the time. It's most likely caused by pressure on the nerve. Most common is the ulnar nerve being compressed against the bone causing the tingling sensation. Water retention along with an increase in muscle size compresses the nerve causing the sensation.

Interesting. I'm maintaining the highest lean body mass and lowest fat mass ever, just having started a PCT. The last couple months have been stressful, and I've went drinking a couple times a week. Not a great idea, I know. Could that have anything to do with it?

i get the same thing from the elbow down. i thought it wuz old age creepin up on me

Doesn't excessively high (i.e. 4x natural) test alone decrease levels of something related to joints? Like, in way that deca or eq may help?

I have found that to be true. Since then, I have started using a large pillow to throw my arm over when I am on my side and the support takes the immediate pressure off and I have little reoccurance of the issue. I have also stopped sleeping with my arms higher than shoulder level......and that helped also.

Yes, I've had the same problem for years now. the only position where this doesn't happen is if I'm on my back and my hands rest on my abs.

I have the same thing happen at night especially when I'm training really hard and heavy. My hands and lower arms go to sleep. I've wonder the same thing... what causes it? and why?

Same here now for a month, really sucks!

I have the same issue and its typically my whole arm only at night , ive been told that your skin is a huge supplier of blood to the muscles and when you grow and your skin stretches it cuts off some of that flow

what i do
i to suffer from this, try this for 3 'cycles'
2 days prior to donating, 1 325mg aspirin 5-7g arginine(am- empty gut), then again mid day
go to blood donation center, agree to donate a bag, tell them ur nervous and that ur bp is high, they will be more than accomodating to this.
give your pint, drink a glass of gatorade followed by a glass of ice water(2x) cookies optional, doing this every 6wk will help keep BP in check.
frk

sorry forgot this added info
use a bone neck pillow to sleep, as well as a heated blanket set on low, these two have helped me sleep on my back with my arms pseudo at my sides. im a stomach sleeper, which puts the arms/shoulders in a bad position, thus causing numbness.

everytime im "on" it happens....

when im "off" it doesnt.... weird

Happens to me too all the time, and I have BP checked regularily.

Never noticed it 6-7 years ago before I started training... but in the last 2 years I notice it more now that I've packed on some size.

happens to me all the time i just sleep on my stomach with a pillow under each arm it helps a lot but i dont think there is any way out of it. its just apart of being big

thats my magic as well. otherwise I can count on my arm going completely numb from the shoulder down.

Well good, at least I'm not the only one. I was starting to worry. I just have one arm, from the elbow down that fall asleep all the time. During sleeping, if I sleep with my arms bent, both will fall asleep.
