living in san- diego as an officer...?

Im thinking of becoming a USMC officer as an attorney...and was wondering if anyone has heard about or knows what life is like in san diego, as far as officer life goes.

women, housing etc.

I would do it in a second, san dieago is awsome city nice weather year round, nice people, just expensive I had plans to move thier by now, but things got backed up..

I spent four years as an enlisted man in the Navy, I was stationed in San Diego. If you are planning on becoming a Marine Officer I would say that you wouldn't have many problems.

You could probably find a nice apartment near Camp Pendelton or Miramar (thats probably where you would be stationed) you could get a buddy and find a two bedroom for probably $1200. Yes that sounds expensive but that's San Diego for you.

Otherwise the weather is perfect and the woman are plentiful. I was in shorts and a t-shirt all year round, exept maybe January when I would throw on a pair of jeans. Anyway, good luck.

As a boot Lt and looking to be stationed in San Diego or the vicinity, the BAH (w/out dep) is like $1100, so housing costs shouldnt be an issue at all.

Are you sure you would be in San Diego the entire time? Remember, needs of the Corps first/foremost
