Loose Skin v Fat

Hey guys, how do you tell if love handles and chub under the belly button is actually loose skin or fat? I was about 50 pounds overweight at one point, and lost it all in 4 or so months, and no matter what I do this fat doesn't seem to go away ... the love handles get smaller and I think that is the last place that fat begins to go, but I am rock hard, and got this chub under my belly button that just wont disappear ... I have no stretch marks or anything.

Well if you are under 5% bf then there is a good chance its your skin... The skin takes time to tighten. If you are over 5% good chance you just have more fat to lose.

Keep up the good work, way to go... 50lb in 4 months!!! Thats awesome!

Seriously, it is probably a combination of both. Losing that much weight that fast. Congradulations, but probably too fast. Like said, it will take a while for the skin to return tight, then from there you will be able to better judge fat level.

Same here. Exactly the same. Probably fat and water. Easy way to know is to roll it between your fingers if the fold is thick, then it's just some leftover subQ fat, if its thin then uh oh. Mine is still a little thick - there's just more to lose. Oh and BTW, thanks for the compliment on the other thread! And yes, I'm still sportin' that goatee. LOL
