Missed the USA registration cut off...

Well, talk about being thrown for a whirl wind. It's totally my fault for being a procrastinating jackass. I just knew that in the past you could register at the event, but just have to pay the late fee. I hopped online today to register and found out that this year there was a cut off as of July 12th. No exceptions. So, I spoke with Jon Lindsey and asked him, "what about those who have always entered the L.A. open to qualify for the USA's." He responded with "No Exceptions". It is in Peter Potter's hands this year. I was devistated to say the least. This may sound gay, but I think I dropped a tear or two. It's hard knowing that I have held my conditioning down for a month through three shows to find out that I am a complete idiot!
OK, enough feeling sorry for myself. I have decided to do the L.A. instead. My conditioning is on, just need to dry out. I guess I'll be partying on the side lines in Vegas. After really thinking about it and regathering my thoughts, I'm actually excited that I get to eat sooner. how sad is that? Oh well, I'll just come in as sharp as I can this weekend. God works in mysterious ways and I guess that this is just a blessing in disguise. Wish me luck. Rob Roy :st:r-wars

That would be a tough one to take, but I could see myself possibly doing the same thing by not looking a little more in depth at the show requirements.
At least you can still line up another show. Good luck bro.

Thanks, Mike. Just means that I have to refocus and dial it in a little sooner. The bodyfat is where it needs to be. Just drop the H2O.

Sorry to hear that bro,

I am a procrastinator myself,, I have dieted down 100 times and waited and never entered than sat in the audience kicking myself..lol.. Even now I am dieting down and just killing myself cause I am self cridical . On top of that , I have just been sick for a week with a stomach flu which thru me off.. Sorry to high jack this thread a bit, but you can see my fustration...lol

What are your plans now ?

Lesson learned. Ya know. Just have to tear it up in LA. I'm just lucky that my conditioning has been on and I have the option to do the LA. You're not highjacking anything. I appreciate the feedback.

I hopped on the scale this morning at 173 and I havn't cut water so there is a good possibility that I'll end up as a welter. I've been around 165 the morning of the last two shows. Weigh ins are actually the morning of. So it's hard to say where I'll end up after my carb up. I'm not going to make it a real focus to drop down. I just want to look the best I can. I wish that we had a quality district rep in AZ. That's about all that I need to say there. I have tried through Carl Sanchez from New Mexico, but no word as of yet. Sandy Ranalli shot it down last night. Altough she is handling the women. She said that she wouldn't let anymore women in. So, still trying Peter Potter, but no word.

Miles Nuessle is our rep but he is about as sharp as a sack of hammers. Its too bad our NPC rep runs things poorly around here. I'm willing to bet that if you come in great shape and have a really good showing at the LA the powers that be (Jim Manion) might make an exception. If you wrote him an email....he WILL get back to you ASAP. It took him one day to get to mine when I had a question. I think you need to get on the horn or write Jim and see what he can do. Your chances are not over until that class hits the stage next friday. Don't give up on this.

Sorry to hear about that Rob, Good luck this weekend at the LA's, sounds like you will be at the top of the welters which will be good......Well there is always next year, you now have time to grow and get bigger for next year's show...

Thanks, BD. You're always an encouraging guy. At least I had the L.A.'s to fall back on. It's definately no show to be taken lightly. I'm sure that the competition will be extremely stiff. It has been a little tougher trying to pull it tight with such a short notice, but I'll represent the PM the best I can.
