Muscle Biopsy Pic and Results

Well, I will have a 2 inch scar on my vastus lateralis. Hope it will fade away. Results were negative , which is good. Kind of sucks I will have a scar on the outside right where the quad sweep is.

They concluded it was an endocrine, probably a result of my pituitary tumor is causing an acute myopathy from releasing certain hormones. Thyroid was way off, Test,SHBG, Prolactin, Igf-1 and Insulin. Nothing long term cause by a metabolic disorder. I have a new endocrinologist I have an appointment with to get things under control.

So back to the gym for me it will be so I can start shedding some fat and getting in shape.

the univ of texas was offering people like 6 grand to ride on a recumbent bike and they were going to take a small biopsy of leg muscle to look at it, i didnt do it, too scared.

That sucks. I have worse that this one, but they can't really be seen. I was just concerned if it looked weird right on the outside quad sweep, once the legs get cut up. Here is a larger image. Other that that is doesn't bother me treally.

I have scars on my legs from a metal bumper of an old car, a drainage tube, running into a stainless steal sink at a construction site and a nice one my quad from running up the stairs with a razorblade on a paint scrapper (when I was 11). It could be worse.

Definitely, I just though it was in a weird place if I was going to do a competition being right on the lower quad sweep.

I'd put some vitamin E on it. It helps it heal better so the scar won't be as apparent. You can pick up a small bottle for just a few bucks at most pharmacies.
