my car was repoed

last night my car was repoed for one late payment.at 2:00 am i got a loud knock on the door.no notice,no call nothing now what do i do.what can be done to protect myself

one late payment and they repoed it??? something doesn't add up here. If I were you I would check with the bank first or whoever it is that has the title for your car. Ask them to show you policy in writing and the repossesion guidelines on it. Also check with your local insurance company and see if they know of this happening in your city and state. good luck.
