My little guy is playing football this year , I figured at 5 that he would not last long as his is a sort of timid guy but he has turned into a little beast on the field , he strives each practice to get better and better.

I'm assistant coaching this year and will head coach next year I can say how proud I am of him.

He already want to start "training" and "dieting" so he can get faster and stronger.

Second pic is he and I after he bowled over the center and sacked the quarterback , the center wnet out of the game and said he was gonna play agains that mean kid anymore

Yea , thats one of my favorite parts , they wobble from side to side when they're running , can't get up off the ground when they fall.

I spend more time laughing than anything and my face hurts from smiling after practice and games

Take your mean kid out for pizza or something every time he gets a sack and see how aggressive he can get:cool:

Great post/pics Gunsmith,
It is geat watching the mini-mes exceed our hopes and expectations.:D I
Congratulations

have a 13 year old football star on my hands. He starts at defensive end and tail back, and he also is the kick returner. Games are a blast, never boring because he is nearly always on the field. Got one tonight after work. Can't wait

I e-mail those to my dad and he called me in tears !!

My dad is a third generation Marine , Vietnam veteran and all around hard ass.
i've only ever seen or heard of my dad crying twice in my whole life , 1)when my grandfather died and 2)when he passed a kidney stone.

he just said he is so happy I'm getting to experiance what he did and now that I think about it I can remember him picking me up a few times and hugging the shit out of me after I "done good"

Kids are truely a blessing , enjoy them while you can

Our league makes us run a 6 man line on defense with nobody over the center , he generaly plays over one of the guards somtimes out on the end depending on the other team's plays.

he also play offensive line somtimes and somtimes fullback again depending on our game plan and the other teams.

all the other parents were amazed that he can play the whole game with no breaks then I asked what they were feeding their kids and explained what my son eats and why ,now 14 out of 16 kids has some sort of pregame meal plan and it has helped them all 200% , most of them were eating absolute shit for dinner the night before the game and for breakfast the morning of and wondering why their kids were feeling bad and get tired quickly

Yet I've had arguments with parents from other teams that bitch and moan saying its unfair !!
I said yes it is unfair , its unfair that you are holding you kids back

Here is a pic of him blocking a kid thats 70-75 lbs , my son is 55lbs doesn't sound like that big of a differance but its actualy almost 50% heavier.

He had to block this guy the whole game as he was the other teams bread and butter of the defense and the kid was never able to make a tackle.

Up till now i have never done any sort of training with him other than jumping jacks and pushups in Karate but he took tap and ballet from 18 months to 5yrs old and karate for the last 2 years so I'm sure that has helped his athletic ability alot . He is a total freak for football and wants to start training to get stronger and faster so I guess we are gonna start running sprints and doing some agility drills this next off season

That's great...

I like the pic of you picking him up.... the praise of a Dad does AMAZING things for the well-being and self-assurance of a child... Keep it up!

And good for you, teaching the skills... it's not always the biggest, but the most talented, those who know how to use leverage.. we had one guy on our team that was half the size as the others, but he could get so deep below you it was SO hard to control him.
