My morning shake.

Lately my girl and I have been addicted to shakes in the morning. We live in guest house with no kitchen, so eating is tough for us.

Using the big Magic bullet mug I throw in
Little less then 1 cup of ice
Heaping table spoon of crunchy peanut butter
1 banana
Heaping Tea spoon of honey
Scoop of protein
Whole milk, Not sure maybe 4 ounces
Blend
Then add granola. Give it a few pulses, I like em thick and crunchy. Done.
I never measure this stuff so those are my guestamations.

It fills me up good, and taste great. I'm not sure how healthy it is though. Maybe someone can help me with that.

Now how do you make em?
 
I dont do to many shakes i mean they have there place when you are busy but i try to eat as much solid food as i can. When i do have a shake i usually do a scoop of oatmeal and a couple scoops of protein and call it good.

As long as it makes you feel good, go for it !
Rarely I drink shakes, so I'll keep an eye for ideas in this thread.
 
Yours sounds like it would taste better then mine.. Doesn't seem like enough substance for me though.

I like to make my morning shake more like a small meal.. This is what I do:

Carton of egg whites (12oz) 50g protein / no fat / no cholesterol
two scoops of whey (40G total protein) low fat / low cholesterol
1.5 cups Kashi Go lean crunch (about 13g Protein + Lots of fiber)
Two tablespoons of PB (16gP) good fat
Sometimes I add either and ensure or A boost for added calories and Carbs.

Then I eat breakfast about an hour later. usually more egg whites (cooked this time) two pieces of Eziekial Bread or oatmeal and I try and eat some greens with it.

I know the Kashi the boost and the ensure contain soy protein but It doesn't seem to bother me and I've been doing it so long I don't really care.

I blend 1 cup of egg whites, 3/4 cup of oats, 1 scoop of protein powder and 1 packet of splenda...
 
I always do 16oz skim milk, 1/2 cup low fat Greek yogurt, 1/2 cup oats and 2 scoops whey. I do one after breakfast and one before bed but I cut the oats before bed. Tastes weird cause of the Greek yogurt but with chocolate whey it's not bad at all.
 
2 scoops of java mocha protein with a scoop of Swedish oats, mix it with an iced cup of coffee and a bit of almond milk. Sometimes add in almond butter
 
when I don't have time for a meal ill basically just blend up my meal and take it with me :p

example is last time was ice, carrots, cucumber, spinach, orange, all natural not from concentrate cranberry juice from traderjoes, coconut oil, cottage cheese, and chicken, Then sweetened with some stevia

Sounds like a good shake, but 100g of protein is overkill don't you think? Especially 1hr before a whole food meal.

You aren't really utilizing all that and are wasting protein powder & egg whites but it can't hurt anything.
 
i grind up 1/2 cup steel cut oats in a coffee bean grinder and dump the powder into my shake. started doing it this way becuase i got tired of chewing my oats.

then add 2 scoops whey, sometimes skim milk. not much, just enough to hold me over until breakfast.
 
24oz. of water, 70 grams of whey protein, 3/4 cups of oats, and 30 almonds. 55P/40C/15F.

Not the greatest tasting thing, but its something I can get in my stomach 15 minutes after waking up.

Why not use almond butter instead? You know, just cause its healthy doesn't mean it has to taste nasty.
 
250g liquid egg whites, 1 scoop Dutch Chocolate Custom blend from TN, 90g swedish oat starch or 1.5 cups ground oats, 2tbsp flaxseed oil or coconut oil, hand full of spinach leafs, physillium husks.

Tastes really good and lets me get some nutrients in right away
 
3 raw free range eggs
1 cup 4% cottage cheese
1/2 cup oats
1 cup raw milk
1 scoop dutch chocolate teamskip
1 tbsp almond butter

damn tasty, and nutrient dense.
 
really not bad, heck I somtimes blend tuna ;) really dont taste it much with all the other stuff. Just taste sweet and savory

Sounds gross but I would use this during cutting periods. Low cal/low carb.

1 cup cottage cheese
1/4 cup sugar free maple syrup
1 packet splenda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup water
1 tsp imitation vanilla extract
1 TBSP sugar free vanilla pudding mix

Tasted like liquid pancakes.
