my paint scheme for my Harley.....off topic

I am just getting my final working done and getting my 2005 Fatboy done up in the next few weeks...
I have the engine all done, hi flow heads, pipes, 11:1 compression, sweet cams,decompressors, pipes etc., etc...all aluminum and plastic has been removed and all replaced with triple dip chrome parts, forks, triple tree, pegs, bars switches etc...
Now i finally found the theme i am running with and have an awesome artist doing my work, all house of kolor paint and airbrushing....taking the tanks and fenders down to bare metal,or buying new bare ones, not sure yet...
I am a farmboy from birth and own horses still, and they have been a lifelong passion of mine and my girlfriends as well..
I also am a biker and i love that as well...lol..
so, best of both worlds...I was going to go with a horse and rider running along a train, but saw this and have made up my mind finally...

I thought i would share, and any suggestions on how to finish my front and rear fender would be appreciated...This will be the basis of my tank...minus the wording at the bottom..

Personally, I like keeping the focus on your tank graphics (riders) by keeping your fenders relatively simple. I would pick up a color scheme from the lighter purples ahead of the riders in the illustration… picture turbulent, menacing clouds approaching. Then on the rear fender, follow through again by picking up the colors from behind the riders… darker purples and almost black tones combined with the hot color of fading flames from the riders.

Just an idea. Its all subjective

I like it! I ended up putting a simple flame job on my Road King. I agree with Brick, That would be great for the tank, keep it simple on the fenders, or it will look too busy.

I like the way you think.........I was really struggling with it....I was also going to put the burning skull on the front fender.....And flames following the riders...But thats a good point about keeping the graphics on tank the centre of your attention...
the skull for front fender is this style...Im appreciating the ideas, i know there are some imaginitive artsy type folks on here that can help me out..

Too many flames/skulls will detract from the main focus - which I think should be the horse and the horseman - the. But then again, I'm partial to horses too.

we had 9......and we have relocated and had to sell some, to good homes and now we have 2 left.....paints.....beautiful animals...

I dont know I think the fenders need something else. I really liked the skull on the front with flames out back, but hell its your bike. If you could get a casing for the headlight that was shaped like a skull that would be bad ass.

I have 5: 1 Tennessee Walker, 1 Arabian, and 3 Quarters... Lost one recently to colic - she was the baby so it hurt pretty bad.

Would it be okay for me to PM you? Want to share something about horses without going too far off topic on this thread.

But good choice about going too "busy". I left riding a few years back (my FatBoy anyways). I never customized it but always wanted too - I think yours will be SWEET! Can't wait to see it.

Colic is very nasty, sorry to hear about the loss. I love my horses dearly and loosing one is certainly tough.

Thank you for the condolences... We were very sad about it but we had a couple of years with her. LOL, she was my little girl - our first foal. I do miss her but I realize this happens at times. But it is hard

I think that the fenders would look good plain, but I also wouldn't mind them with something on it. If you look at the horse it's body has something like a bony exoskeleton on it. Something like that would look good, maybe involve the chains from the bike rapped around the exo-skeleton on the fenders??
