Hi Everyone, im new to this forum, and I hope everyone would pitch in ther opinions. Im currently 6' 4', 20 yrs old and I weigh 300 lbs. I wanted to know what's the best thing for me to do. Should I try to loose weight first or should I start lifting weights to gain more muscle. And what would be the best way to achieve this. Thanks.

If you dropped down from 300 to maybe 260ish I think you might be surprised at how much muscle you already have.


Once you can assess your actual lean body mass then it might be time to bulk up (with muscle this time).

The best way is with diet and training. Do not rely on pills and such to do this. Get your body used to dropping weight without them. Do a search on diets and training and you will find all sorts of info. But do not use diet aids yet. Save them for when you are more advanced and can lose weight without them. A good high protein low carb medium fat diet should work. Around 2500-2800cals per day. You work out the rest! Good luck
