Hey guys,
I'm new to this forum so I thought I'd introduce myself before people start wondering where the posts are coming from this random douche bag lol. Well I'm 20, soon 21. I currently am in University wrestling NCAA Div I. I'm 6'0 206 lbs with approximately 6-7% body fat. I wrestle at 185lbs so you can imagine the weight cuts suck. I've actually never used gear before, however, I graduate this following year as I've been accepted into medical school, and will likely start a cycle. Thus, I would like to stay on these forums and learn everything I possibly could before starting my first cycle. Thanks guys and looking forward to some quality forum information.

Welcome aboard but please re-think on using any type of drugs, work on your diet, training and you will be surprised what you can build naturally. However if you intend on using then read up and ask questions but be aware of the board rules.

I haven't decided on using any gear yet at all. Rather, I'd like to gain some information on the matter before ever committing myself to such a thing. My diet and training are completely regimented and strict. My wrestling coaches make sure I am in top form.
 
Welcome. Your never too young to learn, just do yourself a favor and dont jump into anything.

Will you still be doing any wrestling after you graduate? If not keep in contact with you trainers and put in some work without worring about being in a weight class.
 
I will probably continue to wrestle, but I'm focusing more on medical school once I graduate. I've been doing BJJ for 10 years and wrestling for 12 years so I'll never stop training in my life. I just truly enjoy competition and testing myself, however the next few years I will concentrate heavily on med school so I can secure my future.
I actually got invited from certain individuals to go to the Olympic training centre in Colorado Springs once I graduate. I might go there just to train, but I doubt I will devote my life to competing in the Oylmpics.
 
dang Joey what do you cut to compete? 6-11 pounds of fat and 10-15 of water/muscle? ouch!

or are you just a bit bigger than in the past?

Do you weigh in mornings then compete in day/night?

Used to compete martial arts myself...never restling or grappling though

I start my cut about 2 weeks out. I normally go down to maybe 4-5% body fat, which I can do rather easily. I generally sweat out alot of water, thanks to the trusty sauna and sweat suit. It's a rough cut, but I have done it so many times now, that I have become accustomed to it. I weigh in the day before my match.
