Ok, I am very new to this and probably waited 15yrs too long to start(36 yrs old). I've just aquired cycle of deca and sus 250. Have been on now for about four weeks and I guess I'm doing fine. I am seeing some growth and lines that I have not seen in years. But my weight is staying at or around 230lbs (@ 5'11" I'm chunky) and my mid section really appears unchanged.
I work out five days a week, but only one group a day and only twelve total sets. (my strength has doubled by the way)
I think my diet is pretty good but I don't have a ravenous appetite like I hear people talk about. I sometimes have to make myself eat even when I don't feel hunger.
How do I go from average Joe to "Big Daddy?"

Get em boys!

Stats, diet, years training. Longterm goals. Haven't been lifting, and already started a cycle? You are about to get some very good advice from some vets. Don't take it to harshly.

I started at age 39 . Just stay dedicated and the gains will come , I've got a nice set of abs coming in now at age 41 , never seen them before in my life. LoL

How long have you been serious with weight training? First of all you need to get your diet in check before you go putting stuff in your body that I am assuming you dont know much about or you will look like pillsbury. As the other guy requested post your diet and lets see what is going on. If your bf is up then your diet is obviously off, you are probably not eating nearly enough as you stated, and you probably need to spend less time sticking yourself and more time on the treadmill. How much gear are you on also?

What good is Big Daddy if you are Fat Daddy?

Ive read this elsewhere and I firmly believe it...
60% diet
20% drugs
20% training
If your results are lagging, the first offender is usually diet.

Personally i think you should have trained naturally a lot longer before introducing gear to your body. But as of the midsection thing, its more about diet. Diet equates about 80% of the results. Keep your eating clean, good carbs, fiber and an buttload of protein.

To get better help though you do need to leave your goals and where your at now. What is your bf% now?

One more thing. Did you get any bloodwork done before this and are you taking your nolvadex or any anti-e with this.

A typical days food includes a bowl of grapenuts @ 4 a.m. a O.N. protein shake after the gym (6 am 84 G protein). a 5oz can 98% fat free chicken breast @ 9 a.m. with 16 oz water. (30 G protein) For lunch it varies. (left over 4oz chicken breats or sirloin, turkey sandwich or lean quisine) with 16 oz water. another 5 oz can of chicken breast @ 3 pm with 16oz water. For supper, generally an 8 - 10 oz sirloin with baked potato or two 4 oz. breasts with some green vegetable and brown rice (?? Protein). Then before bed, an 8 oz glass of water with two scoops of whey. (48g protein.) That's pretty much it.
I started training faithfully early January. Didn't introduce the gear until first of March (approx.) I'm not a natural by any means, but I am one of those guys that is naturaly thick (for lack of a better term) I'm not sure of my chest measurement, but I have an 18" neck and a 34" waist at 230# and I am 5'-11" tall.
My routine is as follows:
Monday: Back
Tues: Chest
Wed: Bi's
Thurs: tri's and shoulders
Friday: Legs

Each one to muscle failure, four excersises, three sets each.

Gear consists of 250 sus a week and 200 deca. 20mg nolva daily. After 3 weeks post cycle, have 500i.u. HCG and about 30 clomid(50 mg)

The irony is, I also aquired a substancial cutting cycle also. (probably should have done it first?)
depot 50, Clen and T3.

Alright guys, let it rip.:D

Bro i personally don't think your routine split is adequate, specially for someone your age. I would do two days on one off. Or if not just read Big A's Growth Principle for Beginners on the Article's forum, and try that routine. I also found that a healthy heart does a lot of good when it comes to muscle building and overall health, this means cardio EOD for me. Find whats right for you bro since we're all different.

Also take multivitamin ED

On your workouts i would work your bi's and back together, chest, shoulders and tris, then legs.
Monday - Chest Shoulders, Tris
Tuesday - Back Bis
Wednesday - Off
Thursday - Legs
Friday - Chest Shoulders tris

This way your only hitting one body part twice every 3rd week. This helped me in the beginning. Also i personally think you need to up your protein amount. I say go with 1.5 grams per lean body weight. or 1gram per body weight.

Third I would up the sus to 500 a week at least.

Last, Are you doing any cardio? This is where you get the midsection to show (along with diet of course)

Hi bro and welcome to Pro Muscle,
To go from "average joe to Big Daddy" will take TIME not anabolics. it is NOT a magic potion. there is no quick fix. There is only: DIET, CONSISTENCEY, and TIME. Just wanna make sure you don't have the wrong idea. Many people believe anabolics are magic, but they are not. That being said, good luck with it and maybe post some pics, you will get far more feedback. STEELE

Agree!!!

Absolutely. My goal is in one year to look like a different person. The gear I guess was a hope to shorten the length or atleast see promising results a little sooner. I am however seeing results since I started training. Three months is not a long time, but my chest has ALLOT more definition ( when I flex it, I can actually watch the muscle move up my chest. never seen that before) And my back is wide too. (those chain saws hurt like hell, but they get it done)

If you really want some power do some deadlifts.

Some folks at the gym have notice my increase in strength and said the same thing. I need to work them in at least once a week. When I started in January, I was curling a 50lb flat bar and damn near passing out. Now, I'm working out with 90's My dumbell press started with 30's and now I'm pumpin 80's. I added the hammer curl to my routine about six weeks ago and have been very impressed with the results of that. Thanks for all your input guys. Hopefully I can take it all in and put something together that will really work well for me. It's pretty awesome to have somewhere to talk about it too. Keeps me motivated. Most people think your just bragging the minute you start talking about any of it.

Thanks Turbo. I live in South Alabama (30 minutes from a beach in any direction) I'm hoping to be able to go with out a shirt this year. LOL my wife is hoping I can too.:D

AGREED

BIGDADDY you have gotten some very good responses here, but If definition is your goal keep the carbs low and DO CARDIO!!! Welcome to PM and keep pumpin !:D

I am still waiting for the hammer to fall. Why would you start using gear when you were just using 30 lb dumbbells just a couple months ago?? Obviously you have made some progress, however your thought process is slightly backwards. Just my opinion, way to early for any kind of AAS. I hope you use this site and start researching all the previously posted information that is here. Just a thought...

Bullshit.....100% diet and 100% training, if you don't put in a 100% effort into both you are spinning your wheels

Don't take this the wrong way but I think you misunderstand what a cutting cycle is. A cutting cycle is a cycle that you do when lean and cutting because the drugs don't really make you cut. The diet does. Also, I think your diet sucks. What do you think you are going to achieve with that diet. When I get a chance I will add some more but I don't have time right now

ALSO AGREE

I trained natty for my first 3 years, then during year 4 started using creatine and HMB and stuff like that, then year 5 started the prohormones, and after that stepped it up, but I am very glad that I got a good few year natty base FIRST !
