You can get a walgreen's version, I can't recall the name, but it's the exact same thing for about 1/2 the price.

i can get a bottle of it that lasts, well, quite a while. upwards to 3-4 months, and i use the stuff on my face, chest, and back. (acne from gear), i dont use it in my hair really. but its like 10 bucks for a 3 month supply.. for me anyway, maybe i dont use that much. I just get mine at local stores.

I didn't realize it was prescribed for hair loss?

I had it prescribed for psoriasis and dandruff a couple years ago. Worked like a charm, but sure dried my skin out.

i was trying to find some info about the hair growht properties of Nizoral (Ketoconazole) and found this on wiki:

No the OTC 1% will work if you use it as follows:

Massage it into your scalp and don't rinse it off. Get out of the shower and do other things for 30 minutes. Then go back and rinse it out of your hair.

IMHO this is the only way to make this work to reduce shedding.

Really? I use the %2 massage into scalp and let it sit for 5min like it says. Think I gotta wait longer for the %2 version than 5min? I also do it 3x per week, that enough?
