I am considering dropping some bodyweight, as i dont think im holding this well. Its been 5 full weeks since my show, the bloat is 100% gone and im still holding 240lbs at approx 10% bf. Well... my arms and hands fall asleep at night (and im NOT on ANY GH)....my lower back hurts when i walk... upper back even hurts at times if im sitting long enough. Alot of my muscles feel either tight or like they are going to cramp or both. I cant bend down to tie my shoes due to my hams/glutes being wayy too tight. If i stretch them out i can do it easily, but it tightens up again within hours. Iv tried stretching multiple times per day for a week and it didnt help. Triceps are INSANELY tight to where i touch my face and they feel like theyr going to tear (but NO pain during workouts at all and have gained a LOT of strength and im training them HEAVY). If i hit a front double or back double bi my chest tightens and spasms? What is going on with my body? I mean im not even training often, maybe EOD. What can i do about this?
I know what you mean dude, or I should say I used to know. I have switched up my training from resistance training with heavy weights with mass/strength as the goals in mind, to Plyometrics, and strength and conditioning. I rarely use more then my body weight when training. now I'm fast, flexible, and in great shape, I can run a marathon tomorrow I wanted too. In the process I have went from 235lbs to about 210lbs, I lost bit of strength, some size but I'm in a lot better shape IMO.
You just need to find some activities you like for cardio, reduce your calories, switch up your training.. completely. I use Jiu Jitsu, running, sprints, swimming, grappling, heavy bag drills, or 5 min round simulation S&C routines for my cardio/conditioning. I enjoy it so much, so its not hard to get motivated.
What is your height TP? that will be better deciding factor if 240lbs is the right weight for you. We already know its not based off your symptoms, if you are concerned with them at least.
To answer the orginal question I don't think you ever get used to it until you go up past the point and come down meaning you 260-270 then come back down to 240 you don't feel as bad. Plus you forget what it was like to be at a lower bweight.
but you are in for a long road of pain if you continue up into 260-270 cramping tight uncomfortable breathing etc etc etc. just part of the game if size is your concern which most everyones is.
