God help you if your in an accident with those thin doors. Also, the cons definitely outweigh the pros:

The mechanism that operates the doors adds a ton of weight.
Weather: If it's raining your interior will get soaked and I read somewhere that waters leaks through the doors.
Removal of the B chassis is another safety issue.
The doors get scratched after a while
Most cars doors are too big.
