O/T Opera

I really like Nessum Dorma, especially in regards to the link posted at the beginning of this thread sang by Pavarotti. However, one of the coolest, and breathtaking moments i've ever witnessed was when Paul Potts did his first audition for "Britains Got Talent" show. That was a truly humbling and phenomenal moment to witness.

I'm not knowledgeable in Opra, or even listen to it much, but Pavarotti is one of my favorites. He sings Nessum Dorma with flat out power, especially at the end....makes your hair stand up on your neck and back.

This is a tad off topic, but as close as I have come to opera, would be classical by Bach and some others!

Back in the 70's I got season tickets to the opera as kind of a "babe Magnet" on the theory that women liked opera. It worked sort of, but I almost convinced myself I didn't like opera till Beverly Sills came to town, and I realized it was the local opera company that I didn't like.She was fantastic.
