Oil or actual Test cause "Backne"???

Have it on shoulders and back mostly when on. I always wondered if it was the oil or test side affect. Now I am wondering if it is estrogen level related as mentioned on this thread. Taking an AI but still have breakout. Anyone with more info on this? I wonder if taking something like erythromycin would help?

Erythromycin could help. The problem boils down to the androgenic effects of Testosterone and steroids in general. There's androgen receptors in certain pores where sebum (oil) is released, and when you have excess oil being secreted, the pores can become clogged easier and get infected, which is what acne is. So an antibiotic could help to fight the bacteria that cause the infection in the 1st place. Something like accutane on the other hand, cuts off the production of sebum by the pores totally, so with no sebum at all, you're not gonna get any acne.

Good thread. Curious myself. I'm on week 5 of Test E and not really any acne problem. It seems I get one or two pimples at a time (shoulders, Traps and upper back). Once the one or two go, one or two more will show up. Thankfully, I'm not getting 10 - 15 at once! Maybe it's just genetic. Who knows. Then again, I'm only doing a low dose and it's test only.
