Over 40 - Who still does free weight barbell squats?

If you’re under 40 pls don’t respond. Just a yay or nay from 40+. I’m 44 and still do them, but nothing below 8 reps. Not sure how much longer is really feasible with natural decline (even if enhanced).

I’m really looking to see what the shelf life is for this movement based on the members of this board. Thanks.
Still do only to 405 now though and not every week on the barbell
 
I’m late 50’s and no longer have the shoulder flexibility to get under the bar so I just do leg presses and hack squats instead
 
Hack squats hurt my knees a few weeks back. May try them again another time but legs keep and grow new muscle tissue off leg extensions.
 
Whats the purpose anymore?? Over 40… chasin a plastic trophy…. Nope… still roiden too? For what? No purpose just do some gh and test and small doses and then add some leg curls belt squats and stuff… no need to do squats any longer tbh

I have a matt wenning belt squat and I can say I do way more volume on that then on the bar
 
I got to 365lbs in 4 sets on the squat machine today...felt so much better than the barbell or the smith machine considering the shitty state of my knees and lower back. Hams were fried. The motion of the machine was pretty darn close to a barbell squat so had no awkwardness like with smith machine.
