Now that article is a great find. I hate how they say they were looking for a shortcut. But im sure in the public eye its OK since itsONLY used to 'help in brain performance'...lol.

LMAO so that makes it all ok to abuse drugs then!! I feel so much better.

Or "THEY USE THEM TO GET THROUGH EXAMS" and when they are finished they go back to normal and stop abusing the drugs! LMFAO............of course they do!

So the double standard is ok in their case, but when we want to improve our physical performance and overall appearnace we are criminals!!!

I'm not suprised by this at all. As a current college student I see first hand how much drugs like these and mainly adderral are just abused come finals time especially by kids who are not perscribed the meds. Maybe my teachers should give me better grades, since other students are creating an unlevel playing field by taking adderal and other OTC drugs to enhance their studying abilities and concentration!
If kids are using these for doing well on tests, I'm sure scientists need it more for extensive research and what not. I wonder if the gov't is gonna crack down on these performance enhancers too

I use l theanine, works a treat for helping with concentration, and helping sit down and do proper boring stuff, I also find it really relaxing, so if you ever find yourself in a bad mood just take a tab and your chilled out. Much better than all these modern brain power drugs IMO,

Piracetam (NOOTROPIL), commonly prescribed to treat Alzheimer's disease since it increases blood flow and oxygen to the brain, is an efficient and pretty safe (hardly any side effects) way to increase memory & cognitive processes... a lot of students tend to use it

This is such a double standard. I have mentioned this before. Sports enhancers are demonized in our society today and drug use for mental enhancement and performance are not even on the radar screen. Yet these are widely used by MANY today. Competition in the workforce is today is very tough and there are many who look for that extra "edge" for the advantage. The incentive is strong in today's environment. These are students, lawyers, scientists, the list goes on...

If it is unfair that one baseball player hits more home runs than another because he is using drugs... Then is it fair that one student makes a better grade on an exam than another because he is using drugs?
