Guys, I need a bit of help. Sometime ago I read a thread on this board ( I think it had something to do with excessive useage, outragous doses etc. ) In the article I thought I recalled Dante making some solid comments and Phil commenting saying he never mentioned it before, but Dante helped him with his contest prep for the a contest ( the USA's I think.)

Does anyone recall that? Or do I have my wires crossed?

I ask because I commented along these lines on another board and was basically told I was fulll of shit. Anyone have a link to a thread along those lines? Or do I have my facts mixed up?

You are right. Dante had a mag called Hardcore muscle and it was quite jam packed with info.We talked on the phone weekly shooting ideas off of one another, the result being the systems that we believe in today. I remember when his ideas were in the infant stage and he was experimenting like a good scientist does. I remember laughing at his stories of the pain his clients were in from his new ideas.

It was Ironage and I just love that time in bodybuilding. There is a thread where someone was asking Shawn Perine ( of FLEX Mag, who owns that board ) about a recent article in Flex on Doggcrap and I commented on it.

I learned alot more from Phil than he ever learned from me thats for sure. Phil taught me first of all to not be a follower and think outside the box in this sport. Most people form their opinions from "obsessive compulsiveness" in this sport--"oh my god, I need to do this and this and that and that over there or i wont get big". Phil went his own way with his ideas and decided "this is the way I think it should be done" and thats the way he did it. Outside the norm of what everyone else was pushing.

Besides that he taught me how to put my pants on 2 legs at a time. I put my foot thru the zipper, broke my nose and twisted an ankle the first time I jumped up and attempted it.....but with time and phils coaching I got it down. Ive cut down my "pants dressing time" by 8 seconds each time over the last decade and by my calculations Phil has added "2 weeks" to my life.

You need two more interviews. One (1) by ESPN on you as A great Personal Trainer and Two (2) The comedy channel cause your also a funny dude. Man you have some stories....

Funny enough I tried that,, it did work,, but it caused problems when doing deadlifts while there happened to be an 85 year old women was across the room on the leg extension machine.
 
Phil is it correct that your nutritional 'philosophy' is quite different from Dante's though? Dante really emphasises big eating but you are more along the lines of having your appetite guide you as well as be more moderate with the protein? Is this correct?

No problem my friend. I read so many boards I may well have had my wires crossed. This process lead to me getting a personal responce from Phil and Dante, that's a big deal to this old want to be.

I just got the newest flex, it says on cover "dave henry is proof that DOGGCRAPP TRAINING works like crazy"

what is all that about, any thing to do with DC of this board?

Dante just hade an interview published in Ironman magazine a month or so ago here is a copy of the interview for your reading pleasure it lays the system down very matter of factly. http://www.intensemuscle.com/showthread.php?t=15644
In addition, in less than 2 months another in depth look at the DC system and the man behind the madness and methods of DC training will be revealed in FLEX magazine via a detailed interview.

Dante is making me break my golden rule of not buying the muscle rags as now I will have to buy another one!

I dont usually buy those overpriced, overadvertising (their own products inside), and overhyped magazines either. But soon as I saw the title "DOGGCRAPP" on the cover I knew it was our guy!

So, I bit the bullet and bought it myself. Havent read it yet but will get on it asap.

Its always an honor (is that the right word?) to see one of our bro's from the boards getting some notoriety. I havent had the chance to get to know him personally yet, but I have seen his posts and theories on various boards for at least 5+ years now.
