Hi guys I'm new to posting on this forum, but I've browsed it for a while.

I figured I would put up a couple pics to see what you all think I need to work on and how I'm doing. I am still natural, and am going to start my first cycle soon.

I just got done with a 3 month cut during college swim season and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, I've never been so lean in my life.

Anyway enjoy, and any comments/critiques are welcome.

In terms of my diet I just kept calories low(around 1500), tried to stay around 150-200g of protein a day, mainly whole grain carbs and quality fats.

For exersize I was swimming for about 2hrs a day every weekday for practice then worked out on the weekends. I know it wasn't ideal but being natty I didn't figure it was that great of an idea to work out with weights when I was spending 2hrs in the pool the same day. Would most likely end up in some serious overtraining, I was exhausted as it was. And for supps I was just using ON protein.

But now that swim season is over I'm back to hitting the gym 5 days a week and I think I'm ready to cross over to the dark side of lifting ;). Just test only should do fine for my first cycle I am thinking.

I may try competeing one day but for now I just want to put on some quality mass.

Again any tips/critiques appreciated.
 
Be careful, if you keep getting bigger and leaner, you'll probably sink. Looking good!
 
You look great with some awesome genetics to boot if you're natural. You should grow nicely once you up the diet, heavy training and super supps.

back looks shredded.. test only with a good clean bulk diet will do wonders for ya. Try to stay as lean as possible... great work post after pics if ya can

Well I've been working out for like 5 or 6 years on and off, but steadily for the past 2 years, been through a few bulks and cuts. I usually bulk for about 6 months then cut for two or three, but this last one I really went all out and it's the leanest I've ever been.

I'll definately post pics in about 3 months or so in this thread for a progress update. I want to put on around 20-25# and hopefully keep 15. If I do that though, you guys are right I probably will sink! Anyway though I do throwing for track, so it should help out my distances a ton, especially shot put. I'm more looking for strength than size, but size is nice too.

I've got a vid of me clean and jerk with 275# if I can find it I'll post it up, I may need some help getting it on the net though.

As always, any critiques/advice is appreciated, and thanks for the warm welcome to the site!

Well to be honest with ya, my first thoughts I didnt think I was going to be very impressed with you pics (6 foot, 195lbs) But when I looked at them I was actully very impressed...You have nice shape, and decent amount of muscle on ya already...I dont know if you should start up on AAS...(that is your choice) but I believe you have tons of natural growth left in ya, and if you started now, you would lose all that...If you would just do maybe 1 or 2 more bulks then cut cycles, I think in a couple more years away...you could be a pretty good bodybuilder...But it is up to you to decided what is best for ya...best of luck

I also think test is a crude drug. I know that will go against much of the assembled wisdom here, but it's what I think after using it [way in the past...when it was legal of course!]

It looks like you've got a great physique as it stands. I didn't see your age posted.

You might want to see what you could do without anything for a couple more years. Various people on here have proven that you can always take a good amount of gear, train hard and look good.

I would say it all depends on your competitive aspirations. If your goal is to step on stage with drugged competitors, you'll quickly realize how bad it sucks when you are the only guy on stage taking very little. My last show [hypothetically speaking...]my cycle leading up would have been a cc of test per week for two months....then I would have switched to one anadrol a day..and a shot of tren enanthate once per week the last month. That would have been my cycle. I would have thrown some diuretics in at the end as well.

I talked to other guys....and some were taking gh, insulin, a shitload of other anabolic drugs, thyroid, etc.....they'll look different than you do...trust me! lol.

Drugs and I'd say a good amount of them.... are part of the game in bodybuilding and I am sure not trying to piss anyone off who disagrees or seems to know more than I do. Go read Big A's article on gaining mass....I think that's the accurate picture of what goes on. If you are okay with that...more power to you.

Me: I'd rather achieve a look I am able to maintain without damaging my health.

I have to be honest though...I love the way those friends of mine look ...who are willing to put their foot on the accelerator and go for it! I am just too much of a chicken-shit. :D

So...I say you look awesome right now.

I do realize that both of you have much much more experience than I do, and I take your statements to heart.

As for my aspirations, I never really want to be that huge or anything. And as for bodybuilding comps, that's only something that I figure I may do at one point for some excitement.

I'd like to think that I could get to like a lean 220 and be happy with that. Being natural gets old after a while, especially being on a very competitive track team I'm surrounded by guys who use, and even my own brother dwarfs me.

I'm a junior in college going for a MBA, thats where my true dreams really lie. I stay focused on my schooling mainly, but athletics are a huge part of my life right now.

Anyway, I really respect you guys but I've given this a lot of thought, and I realize that this is a big decision that can have a lot of consequences.I'm pretty close done with my natural growth, so I think I'm ready. I've waited a lot longer than most of the people I know.

Hey man I am going to agree with most guys here - you have an awsome base and physique - due to good genetics and hard work training - grats to you! You will def do well and easily pack on the wanted lbs on test but there are def side effects. If i were in your place I'd waitr a while, but it's up to you. What I found out taking test later in life (40's) was that it gave me an edge that would have been impossible to achieve without. At your age that will be less true. And def don't think you have stopped growing - I was growing right up thru 23/25yo. (6'1" when I statrte college - 6'-2 when I started grad school....)

The bigest thing for me was that the test affected my endurance for sports - I get winded faster, etc. - may not be so true at your age - but that's wahat I experienced. For me it was a good trade off, cause i got stronger, brought back some libido and improved my mood. But I still regret that I can't run a 10 minute mile anymore... and I know that's not fast but i could do it easy before I took test.

Anyways - do as much research as you can so you feel comfortable with your decision - I guarantee that once you try it - you won't go back to natty. and in the meantime - extreme props for getting where you are now - awsome work dude!

Im not trying to talk you out of doing AAS, but I just want you to really think about it...And yeah, I know all about your friends being on gear and your not feelings...It sucks to think that you could be bigger and harder than them, but your not right now...I guess with that all I can say is once you start AAS, it's much harder to quit using ever again...It becomes a endlss cycle...One turns into two cycles, and three and it goes on and on...I started when I was 19 years old, and I wish I wouldve waited until I was in my mid twenty's (yeah I know easier said than done) yeah, I wont a bunch of shows as a teen, and I progressed much faster in the open class, but if I wouldve waited and gone agaist the gain of everyone else, I really believe I wouldve naturally been a bigger bodybuilder now...Ofcourse I'll never know, but thats my theory...

damn bro you look good, its hard staying on a diet in college isnt it? the cafeteria -meal plan slop wont cut it haha
